That's the sketch I done 5-6 years ago when I was trying to figure out what to do with my 25. Maybe this build will inspire me to get back working on mine.

A mix of the 2 pilothouses would look right to me. Definitely cutting the cap down in the back half, just not conducive to fish or dive the way it is now. I like lower gunnels. Could really have bolted a motor on and gone for a few years but the transom is on its way out. Thankfully thats about all 2 owners ago redid, it wasnt totally bonded in all the way! Everything else looks very sound, havent seen an inch of delam anywhere

Low cap hulls always looked better to me and are more versatile unless you have a high deck and need the freeboard. One thing I dislike on my 20 sceptre, similar raised angled cap. I came close to cutting it down years ago but didn't take that on as I was not planning on keeping it this long. Same deal with the 20 ma, like the 3 piece construction but not the raised cap. When I redo my ma it will be getting a low cap like the sf. The cool thing about the ma is it is the hull is twice as thick as most sf's I seen or at least mine is. Extra weight but some believe that a heavy hull rides better or will stay in the water better in ruff conditions. Anyhow I am excited to see what you do with the 25 DW.fl.

Well it’s a real good drawing frizzle. I came awful close to following it in my seafari 25.

Ultimately it came down to time, money, and wanting to see how it was in its original state before messing with it too much.

My fishing buddy joked we’re gonna need a bucket on a rope to get water for washing down deck and hands. His boat has a very low freeboard.

I think raising the deck would be easier than cutting the cap down. The cap as it is adds a lot of rigidity to the hull. I cut a piece out for the transom redo and was amazed at the difference.

I really like how Dr. Hands pilot house came out on his first one (he has done two 23s now) and this inspired me to think along this route. He is "Handful in NC" up here. Check his out if you haven't seen it. His was made to replace the windshield on the sceptre similar to how I drawn the one up below to bolt to the original base. Also I live near the Parker manufacture and see tons of their pilot house model hulls and always liked them also.
