If that is the case the damage is done. Hopefully it just needs to be persuaded back into shape.

The last guy put in the transom and didnt pull it back to 80". The guy before him removed the cap and other parts somewhere around 2004.
Once i get the transom on im going to throw the side decks up there and see how much the rest of the boat sprung and go from there.

Transom just about squared away. 2 layers of 3/4 airex with a third on the center 36". May be overkill but better than underdone.

I think it looks pretty cool, too.

What is your height keel to transom notch?

I measured a regulator here and it was 27" from keel to transom edge, and 30" wide.
I am not glassing the top till after everything else is done. So if i change my mind, it is just a saw cut
