You just rang a bell...My grandfather had all Quick reels on his rigs...I think I was 8 when I first used one..he only bought the best stuff...I tend to throw stuff out that I no longer use and then it comes back to bite me later...like for instance right now I got to go and check the garbage for a Li ion battery that wont take a charge for a specific metal detector that I found out the battery can be rebuilt...

My first spinning reel as a kid in 1960 (cir) was a dark red "Dam Quick Jr"
I think around $8-$10 scratch

Took time today to fabricate two removable bilge pump / float switch assemblies. They attach to the top of the stringer with a waterproof quick connector. One forward and aft...

Ken, I expected a slightly lighter project as part of the rehabilitation plan….. Ehhhh, not really. Glad you’re back at it!

And by the way, you didn’t tell me how much free time you lose when you retire. It’s going to take 2 years to get through all the projects Mel has lined up for me before I can get to what I want to do!

wattaway2 06-21-2021 05:49 PM

Moose I retired March 1st don’t see a end to projects yet if not her it’s the family!
