Yeah you can get stainless rivets and they are better , but remember that most sailboat mast are aluminum and the hardware is SS as are the rivets, so use the right grade and not a problem. They are compatable. Use marine grade.
I don't like the aluminum as much because a good bump will shear it and you can lose the emblem. |

Has anyone mounted these yet?? How would the majority mount these? I would think if riveted a back-up washer would be a good idea.

Special Order material was to arrive yesterday and the emblems are scheduled to be cut next week. The packages are already addressed and ready to be shipped as soon as I pick them up. Here's the status:
I asked Brian (SS Fabrication Shop) to run the full sheet, yielding approx 135 emblems. I have orders for 128 (not including NotWorking & SCSeacraft). That leaves 7 on reserve to insure none are lost in the mail. I'm optimistic everyone will get their's. After they are all received in the mail, then I'll be glad to mail out the remainder for those who wish to join in the order. On the list so far is NotWorking & SCSeacraft. (NotWorking...I will hold your check until that happens). The emblems should be ready for pickup anyday now & the packages are already addressed & ready to be shipped as soon as I get them. I have not received checks for 8 orders, & will be sending out PM's to those people. Hopefully none of those have been lost in the mail. This project has been a tremendous success with so much support from everyone. Thank you so much! Carla |

Emblems Are Done!
Latest Update,
I have just picked up the emblems. Tonight I'll be wrapping them all up and stuffing them in the PRIORITY MAIL packages for shipping TOMORROW. I asked Brian of the SS Fab Shop to go ahead and cut the entire sheet of 316 mirrored SS. He cut 152 emblems! That leaves approx 20-25 extras....for anyone who wants to join in. So far on the list (if still interested) are: Knot Working (2) SCSeacraft (2) Thanks again for everyones particiaption & support. |

:cool: I'm quite happy being a 'member'.... thank you for your interesting (?) thought. THE EMBLEMS ARE IN THE MAIL!!! You should have seen the faces of the postal worker when I walked in with 2 boxes filled with all the packages! But we got it done. Sent USPS PRIORITY MAIL in those 8x10" cardboard type envelopes, emblems are bubble wrapped & taped to another piece of cardboard inserted in the envelopes. AND THEY ARE INSURED! Average delivery time is 2-3 business days. I DO HAVE EXTRAS FOR ANYONE WHO WOULD STILL LIKE TO ORDER! Thanks again, for all CSC support. |

The emblems are made of #316 mirrored finsih SS, 1/16" thick.
