night thought that Friday would be the better night for the
Pot luck, as if we went fishing on Saturday we could do a fish fry Sat night. Just our thoughts on the subject.
We will go with whatever the majority want to do. :)

It all sounds good. Since this event will have both Fri & Sat campers and also just Sat campers, either way works. If 4 CSC members met over dinner to discuss the plan, then shoot Ken, by all means, that's the plan :D. .

There is a very slim Possibility that we might go and bring the Seavette, I aint scared, it's mainly a money thing with us, as most of you know we just built a house and shop. :D So this brings me to my question, is there a good hotel to stay in around the area that has boat slips and or launching ramp? I have found a Holliday Inn Sunspree resort in St. Petersburg, is this close to where you all (yall) will be staying?

Very close, that would be the spot, its about a 10 min boat ride - easy ride too down I-275 thru Tampa and St Pete- its not Atlanta or Houston traffic

Thanks! I wish that we could get Finster along with the others to bring their Yankee a$$es down here for the event. :D Heck he could even ride in my Seavette and just maybe it might give him some insinuation to finish his. :cool: Which camp sites are you staying or GPS#?

Campsite numbers are 182 through 190 - the channel to the campground goes South from the main Bounces Pass channel just west of the bridge- their is 1 small island next to the channel going back into the campground lagoon - heres a link that you can see both channels in, that is Bounces Pass and you would be coming from the east under the bridge

Brian- It's a no go as of now......It's killing me! Cash poor, SeaCraft rich $$$ :D. I do have 2 black anchors on the stern of the 23 I can offer for guaranteed stable anchorage at the camp site though :o

I will have Susan bring the cocktail sause fixin's, fishing has been off the hook - reds everywhere very close- big kings cruising the beach - #40 from 10' of water last week- tons of Macks and big bonita all the way too the skyway- lots of grouper being caught in the ship channel and rubble piles around the skyway too.

Time to charge the batteries and get the leaves out LOL

everybody grab a little firewood it will be cool enough to really enjoy a fire - I will say I thought it was stupid buying firewood at the grocery but that is some good wood and easy with the bag. I will bring the fire pit

I will be up before noon with my little boy Jack, wife Kimberlee and my mom and dad. We are going to bring some trolling outfits, planers with spoons and rapala's/yo zuri's. Can't wait. We've gotta duck out around 4pm but I may buzzy buy with a friend Sunday.

I live only a 20 minute car ride from DeSoto. I am just south of the Sunshine Skyway. If anyone traveling has any concerns on directions, if you need to be picked up by boat Saturday or if you have a break down(sorry not in Naples only close) give me a call!!!!!! My cell 941-544-7400.

I have got some killer fresh made chipolte/japanese hot sause to go with Ken's shrimp and my special home made pickles.
