Carla any non ethanol fuel around, I still haven't switched and really don't want to try it down there ????

In August the stations right before you hit Key LArgo and from Key Largo to Islamorada all had non enthanol. Also
Are there still campsites available with Dockage?

Re: Keys Own the Poll Position 4/3/2009 Gathering

I'll have to check on the non-ethanol fuel availability in Key Largo and let you know.
Ryank ... Glad you and Renee are joining us ... bring your lucky fishing rod too. Dockage for Sceptre reserved too.

Camping ... Snookerd, ESD, GFS, Bushwacker, Blue197320, Ryank. Am I missing anyone?

Check these guys out, they have great prices and you can buy poles and stuff
http://www.texsport.net/index.php

We also got these cots I have linked-worked so good being able to put all your stuff under them and I sleep real good on them with a light sleeping bag
http://www.texsport.net/texsport-del...amp-p-229.html

This is our island tent - the reason I say that is they cannot have the rain flap cover the window or the wind will blow them down - needs to go thru - the cots fits also

http://www.texsport.net/texsport-inw...nt-p-2701.html

just some ideas

I am going to try my hardest to represent the Yankee clan for this but I do not know my schedule that far ahead. I am planning to be at the new house in KW for the majority of March and April. I will not have a SeaCraft with me (but one never knows what I may find between then and now ) and I think the run in the Whaler from Key West will be a bit much.

Maybe a car would work

Quite possibly, but mine does not float too well, nor does it have a VDH

Jason-Whalers are welcome! Tow her up for the weekend. We may have to help break in the Southern Outpost down in KW.

i was thinking tonight.... what do you guys think if we make a 2009 shirt for the gathering? just a t-shirt so it will be simple and cheap. of course it will be available for the rest of the board but it would be delivered at the gathering. let me know if there is any interest and ideas.

A GREAT idea!!!! I'll take 2, small & large.

Re: Keys Own the Poll Position 4/3/2009 Gathering

ok lets see some ideas people. there is a sign shop near me that does shirts. monday i will go by there and see how much it would be. i guess we would have a small logo on the front and a big one on the back. now the part ill need the help with, the actual shirt itself.
im thinkin something about "csc keys trip '09" for the front on the pocket or no pocket (havent decided) then maybe the back can be a picture of florida with a bunch of little seacrafts on it because people are coming from all over to meet in the keys?? let me know. i will need help also with the illustrations. i know some one knows how to do that.

Caymanboy 01-18-2009 04:18 PM

Re: Keys Own the Poll Position 4/3/2009 Gathering

I can get the shirts done for about $6.50 a shirt, shirt included, no pockets, that would be one color only. We need to do the artwork, but I like your idea, if someone has a Seacraft rendering I could work something up.

Blue197320 01-18-2009 06:58 PM

Re: Keys Own the Poll Position 4/3/2009 Gathering

$6.50 sounds good. ill go check that place by me tomorrow also just to see. when you say one color you mean 1 color shirt or you talking ink wise ?

Caymanboy 01-18-2009 07:31 PM

Re: Keys Own the Poll Position 4/3/2009 Gathering

Ink, shirts would be white, Gilden Ultra Cotton, decent shirts.

Blue197320 01-18-2009 10:47 PM

Re: Keys Own the Poll Position 4/3/2009 Gathering

well i guess we would do black ink to contrast the white well. do you have any ideas for the illustrations?? can anyone help with that aspect??

Re: Keys Own the Poll Position 4/3/2009 Gathering

Royal or navy blue looks good on white.
Maybe borrow Fellowship's illustration of the Antique Vessel decal, using the rope circle & anchors ... only in the center put ...
"Classic SeaCrafts"
"1962 - 1979"

Above decal ...
"Key Largo"
"2009"

Below decal ...
"ClassicSeaCraft.com"

Just a thought.

Great Idea Carla but with one change:
"1962 - 1980"

Carl Started '62 , Potter left '80 Most consider these years the Classics. Just my .02

Great idea on the shirts. I agree on the 62-80 years. Both eras logo designs would be cool as well. A navy shirt with a white design/writing would be a good color combo if price works.

Gail and I cannot make it to the keys in April but will always buy a white t-shirt with the logo on the back.

Caymanboy 01-19-2009 07:53 PM

Re: Keys Own the Poll Position 4/3/2009 Gathering

If someone can send me the logo I will play with it. I'm kinda fond of Blue on White, but if that many feel that White on Blue is better, then that's what we will do, maybe we can do both, how many are we looking at? 4 doz or so? Here's my e-mail to send that logo direct. obparker@att.net

Blue197320 01-19-2009 08:54 PM

Re: Keys Own the Poll Position 4/3/2009 Gathering

i like that antique vessel idea also. i think it would be easier to do than the florida with a bunch of little seacrafts around it. i am also going to vote for the blue shirt... it wont stain as easy. just my opinion.

Re: Keys Own the Poll Position 4/3/2009 Gathering

Now!! the gatering is picking up speed.........the T-shirt idea is great!! A time, date, location on the shirt is a great move. I would suggest a more generic location logo/identifier, "The Florida Keys 2009" versus Key Largo 2009. My 2 cents worth. I'm in for at least two XLs and a small.

Re: Keys Own the Poll Position 4/3/2009 Gathering

Why not use the art work from the navy blue shirts we did 2 yrs ago and add the keys thing, that is a nice shirt. I think Peter was the head of that.

The 1962-1979 refers only to the antique classification ... maybe remove the word "classic" from inside the decal???
A Classic SeaCraft extends beyond the years of an Antique SeaCraft. Just my thoughts.
Any way it goes, I'm still in for 2.

Re: Keys Own the Poll Position 4/3/2009 Gathering

I like "Classic" why do we need to change and start calling them Antique's. Just wondering, its just for registering the boat, I thought the sticker was ugly and didn't even put it on, its in the glove box

Oh by the way what MM are you near ????
