Went by there today and stopped and ask about hassles and apparently not much - no cooler checking but honest they are sneaky and will have big binc's. Not an issue for me as I can survive on brown water and no beer.

We spent the night at Egmont with the new sleeper, will do a separete post somewhere.

Duane-I've gotta remember to buy my gas in Venezuala @ .12 cents a gallon next time..... :D A DFI or 4 stroke 250 sounds good right now, or better yet a 20 with a 200 2 stroke.

I'm now running my 150 optis last week I went out with
3/4 of a tank and came back with 1/2 a tank never went offshore with the 250s without a full tank and never even
came back with half

Its an amazing differnce, thats why I suggested you take one off of yours, you don't have alot of extra weight and it would run fine with 1, you can't afford to go fast with those 2 anyway.

Actually sell the other one for gas money :D

You caught me, we were heading home from Boca Grande
went down and watched the show, did not fish mutch then,
Diana did not want to run the boat in the pass crowd we
went back 6/1-3 fished in cous. Gunners gause built 26'
if I dont catch another fish until this wednsday I should be good 13 tarpon hookups 2 big permit 1 king fish caught
Diana lost another at the boat 1 shark and to many pompano
to count

Dog, I considered running one but with the #'s others were getting with a single 3.o L's I would only gained about 1/2
a mile per gal and my milage was better than the singles

Too funny, we rolled in late afetrnoon 6/4 and just missed you, stayed on the boat for the weekend and yes the sleeping setup couldn't have worked better - the problem was the wind died both nights at 9 to 11 - couldn't find enough air to blow out a candle - jeezz it was hot with 90+ humidity - as soon as air started moving no problem, I hate that SW airflow just so humid, never again. Logged 130 miles from Venice down to Captiva and back, didn't fish just killed bait.

From our house to Venice boat ramp was 1:20 min - to BG from the ramp 1:30 and 30mi with 1 slow zone, easy trip rather than driving to Englewood, ramp at Venice is like 4 mi from 75 and your in Englewood faster than driving - just an FYI

I average 15-17 mpg
towing with the ram ctd ac on. sceptre no ac 3mpg, idle zones to hot. I do want to make the trip down when there is no extra bedroom in the condo in bg

I noticed that in wackers trip - I even poked my head in the canal, I stayed in the TH's many years ago when there were just little shanty's on the way in.

You missed nothing, I backed out of trying to pick a site because I am in the middle and don't care.

Ft Desoto looks doable with the PIA of permits but I think we can work around the alcohol issue with some creativity. Anclote/Durney Key is an option but your the only ones up there. Although not sure how many from down south are coming either. We do have the new 25 in Sarsota and even Islandtrader is not far to Ft Desoto based on my trip. We have DonV and another guy in Apollo Bch with a 23 and I met a the son of somebody with a sweet '69 20 up at the Davis Island ramp last weekend, I asked and his dad comes here, no clue if interested. Anclote would be a run for all of them - just say'in

I don't really want to be in charge, would be nice to hear from the other guy in Apollo Bch, the 25 in Sarasota and the 20 in Tampa.

I'd love to see a bunch of Seacrafts, but an 8 day live aboard Bahama trip starts Friday. After I get back, it will be the best part of a month before I want anything to do with the boat or have it cleaned up and I'm gone again August 8-18, hurricanes willing.

Probably not this year for me.

With the end of June fast approaching, It is apparent that a large scale gathering is not in the cards. Sooooooo, with all of our group looking for the excuse to get together, but time and $$ being a premium, lets just reschedule. I am going to Eggmont Key tomorrow and anyone who wants to stop by, feel free.

was on the inside up near the northend, went past passage and on to AMI and stopped at the sandbar there - looked but it was rough on the outside and didn't go out there.
