Sorry, missed one question..... No glass work underneath just some patch work.
Right now the schedule is finishing all but the electronic rigging on the 28th...... Stay tuned!

Any updates, pictures?

Calibogue 06-19-2013 06:40 AM

Will have some pics tomorrow or Friday.
First coat of paint this weekend.

Caymanboy 06-19-2013 06:44 AM

Ok, great, can't wait to see it. I'm sure it will be awesome.
I answered your question over on my thread.

Cant wait to see the pictures of it done! It is going to be an awesome boat with all the light weight new coring and nicer than any new boat off a production line. Once you get her done, I have spoke to a few other members who want to do a NC/SC meet sometime. It would be cool to get some of us Carolina guys and boats together one day. :)

HA.....thats what I keep trying to reassure myself of every day!
I actually want to plan a trip from Beaufort to Wilmington with the family to visit a good friend up that way.
I will definitely run from Bft to Georgetown probably Labor Day weekend.

This is real close to how I want to do my 1971 20 sf. What year is yours? must be pre 72 due to the quad stringers. Looking good, let me know about the cap if you can if not I might have to do what you have done. Thanks Mike

Call me if you still want it......

strick 06-30-2013 01:00 AM

Looking Really Really nice! I like the built in channel for the fuel hose. Is that rear hatch shaped to accommodate a leaning post/bait tank ?

strick

Calibogue 06-30-2013 08:22 AM

That is correct.
That hatch actually has a baffle to separate the bilge area from dry storage for life jackets.
I didn't want to waste any space so I have storage under the LP all the way to the back of the fuel tank.
Great area to pack in life jackets, rope, etc...

Calibogue 06-30-2013 08:33 AM

Strick, you referring to the fuel fill channel?

flyingfrizzle 06-30-2013 11:00 AM

Looking good, hope to get a chance to look at it next week. One of the sweeter 20's I have seen built.

strick 06-30-2013 11:04 AM

Yep the channel up toward the bow port side. You gonna put a removable lid over that or just seal it all up once the hoses are in place?

Strick

Calibogue 06-30-2013 11:58 AM

Leave the top panel to be removable if necessary.

Calibogue 07-09-2013 06:54 PM

Was having a hard time finding stainless thru hulls to self bail the cockpit so I called a friend I haven't seen in a while, the owner of Scout Boats.
He totally hooked me up and will not let me pay him and unknowingly gave me a little pat on the back when he said...... "that is the best hull ever made!"
Aaahhhhhh........ I needed that!

DonV 07-09-2013 07:26 PM

You just gotta love that!!!! Very nice! :)

WillyC 07-13-2013 09:00 AM

That little p/u is sexy!!!

Calibogue 07-17-2013 08:38 PM

So close I can taste the salt!
I have been working on the boat all week as well as the shop guys and it's almost together.
All rigging is pulled.....hinges, some caulk, and connecting electrical.
We should wrap it up tomorrow for the most part aside from some touch up and a couple of alterations.

Calibogue 07-19-2013 12:38 AM

I need a mechanic for a couple of hours and done!
I have a bit more electronic rigging to do under the console but it will go smooth as I have everything you plumbed and ready to roll.
More pics soon..... I'm tired, I've put in about 50 hours this week and feel like a big olé piece of fiberglass!

Calibogue 07-20-2013 07:17 AM

Finding one on a Saturday AM...... Maybe but I might be working on electronics the rest of the weekend..... Oh well!

Caymanboy 07-20-2013 03:19 PM

That sucks----.
