Bracket on, trim tabs on, back in the yard.

Obviously outboards won't be happening as soon as I was originally planning. http://i225.photobucket.com/albums/d...psw32pal1g.jpg http://i225.photobucket.com/albums/d...sicdivhx7.jpeg |
Looks very nice! Excellent tow rig too!

Coastal Fiberglass did the work on the boat. I would highly recommend them to anyone in the mid atlantic region. Great work, would call/send updates/pics, very good pricing.

I noticed with my truck if you forget to put in tow mode gas mileage is horrible. In tow mode I get 13-14 mpg but not in tow mode got like 8 or 9 mpg.
|
Very nice project. What's up with the kitty litter in post 36 though? Something abuot drying something I'm sure, but what?
|
Bracket look great as does everything else. Don just let me know my bracket its ready to go. Mel and I are heading down Saturday to pick it up. I have angst about tearing my sled down but I look forward to getting back on the water afterwards. I'm having a pro do most of the work for me as de- and re-rigging will be a big enough project on it's own.

Does anyone have a good wiring diagram of when they re did their boat? I've found some very generic ones on google, but I know some off you have done this before and I would rather not re-invent the wheel.
Bilges, auto switch, and a few other things are on the way from Amazon. If you haven't taken the time to use Amazon to find boat parts, you should. They don't have everything but what they do have is usually much cheaper than other places online and free 2 day shipping with prime. |
Boat's new home. It sure is nice to not tear up the yard moving the boat and not having to clean the dirt/mud/grass/etc. out of it every time you climb in. I'll get a few more pics once the sun is up tomorrow.

Do you have any expansion joints in that pour?
|
Yes, 3 joints. It's 60ft long till the 45* out by the front side walk and 14ft off the wall with the meter on it. Just under 1100 sq/ft.

I hope you had the power company run your underground service feeding your meter in conduit. If they have a fault in the cable their only option will be to jackhammer it up. Same thing with the buried phone drop.

PVC was ran under the slab incase the phone line needs to be replaced. |
And I must say the color of the boat blends with the house quite nicely!

The risk of a faulted cable is most likely at the splice point if a temp meter pedestal was installed right next to the house during construction. If that was the case a splice was made from the temp meter location to where a second cable piece entered the house, usually 6' from the permanents meter location. If they had the temp service located near the road you are likely good as there would be no splice. If there was a problem they could cut an area of the slab out around the meter pipe and jet a 2" inch pipe under the slab and replace the cable that way. |
Good to hear. Looking forward to seeing some updated pics.
