Snookerd 07-18-2017 10:31 AM

Jim-Duuude! Very nice. I am in for 3 large short sleeves, and 2 med short sleeves, and 1 large long sleeve.

Vezo, Part II 07-18-2017 11:39 AM

Hello Jim, how is the Striper fishing? I would like to pay at the event for 3 extra large short sleeve, and 3 extra large long sleeve. These are not sweat wicking dry, just normal cotton T's, correct?

What is retail for a white starboard louvered door and frame for a '77 Seafari. All other wood has been replaced. Thanks.

Michael.

Michael,

The Striper season went well, plenty of nice keeper fish.

Got your order as shown above. Yes, normal 100% cotton shirts, nothing special like SPF or PFG. Sure, just pay me down in Fla.

The CSC.com price on the white Starboard louvered door is $385 + freight (no hardware)

Jim

Vezo, Part II 07-18-2017 02:30 PM

Thanks Jim. It can wait, original in very good condition. Would you happen to have a spare bed at MacRae's if Don should make me drink the Kool-aid?

Vezo, Part II.

Great News!!, the T-shirt project is moving forward! We have achieved the minimum necessary orders and gotten the sufficient sponsorship commitments needed to produce the T-shirts.

There will be more detailed info on the T-shirts forthcoming in the next week....so stay tuned.

This T-shirt is going to be a limited production run and likely turn into a "Collector's item", so order yours now, if you already haven't.

Ill take 2 xl short sleeve . Pm me how too pay.

agsmoke 07-19-2017 03:22 PM

Will you be making the shirts in XXL?

Fr. Frank 07-19-2017 03:54 PM

I'd like one Small Long Sleeve and two XL Long Sleeve & one XL Short Sleeve: total of four shirts.
I'll need them shipped to me as I cannot make the gathering, alas. Tell me the $$ and I'll send the money via your choice of Paypal or check.

kmoose 07-19-2017 07:38 PM

Add 2 more xl long and xl short to my list please.

Michael.

Have you saved the wood for others who may want those rare pieces?
Just did my dash in Awlcraft Awlwood and this may be the solution we have
been awaiting for these many centuries. 16 or so coats with 3 coats of UPOL
flexible plastic bumper clear.

Both products have heavy UV and when the UPOL starts to fade, you just scuff
with 320 and shoot 2 or 3 more coats.

I have 3 different experiments going on now.

I will do one more using Teak Wonder as the sealer/primer in lieu of the
yellow Awlwood sealer primer. Never been done before...
Wish me luck. I love the blonde look of teak wonder, but recoating
every 2 or 3 months is untenable. Some grey always slips in.

The yellow primer nails the tung oil color in spades. The old tiger striped
Burmese teak just pops and the build up makes the finish really deep.
Still trying to figure out how to keep the dust gremlins at bay.

Thanks to Bert at Lake Shore auto body for the use of your booth for the
final shoot.
Much appreciated my friend!

I'm going to see the artist on Monday evening. Hoping to have something I can post soon after that...

7/24/17 UPDATE: I met with the graphic artist tonight and he should have a "proof" to me mid-week. If I like it, I will post. If I have to revise anything, it may be a few more days.

Hi Jim-

I heard you hit up my boss for a $100 sponsorship. Good call.

BTW - your hatches for the 32 Holland we are building are really sharp. Well done.

Thanks! that 32' Holland is going to be sweet! Glad I could be part of the build.

Yeah, I signed up Tom. He was a willing participant and didn't put up too much of a fight...Haha.

T-shirt Design / Proof!!!!

Well the long awaited design is complete!!

7/28/17 UPDATE: The final approved T-shirt design is shown in post #84 on page 9

.

Vezo, Part II 07-26-2017 06:26 PM

Looks Awesome Jim! Can we get GoFastSandMan down the left sleeve? Then you wouldn't need a name tag when caught sleeping on picnic tables at our larger events. Just a thought.

Vezo, Part II

The Snookered clan had 6 inches of water in their tent.
I had dry blissful sheep. Er Sleep.

Jim, is that Don at the helm?

Only 3 scampi, but 4 race boats known to exist...
Hmmm.

Snookerd 07-26-2017 07:29 PM

Great job Jim!

It looks amazing! Thanks for all your effort. I was thinking that the superman model may actually be the super fish model, lol! The driver and boat in the picture looks a lot like DonV.

Ha Ha, may look like Don, but it is someone else...The first person who correctly guesses who is the driver of the SeaCraft in the design gets a FREE T-shirt!! Fire away.

Jim

DonV 07-26-2017 07:50 PM

"Jim, is that Don at the helm?"

I don't think so, he looks to friendly to be me!! :)

Bikecop1 07-26-2017 08:41 PM

Very nice. Great job. Looking forward to receiving.

Everyone, please look this "proof" over well to make sure we get this Design right the first time. One error I already caught was "Superman", it will be revised to "Super Fisherman"
Let me know if you see anything else...Thanks, Jim.

Jim- Thanks for taking the lead on this. For a comment, let those who have one agree or disagree. To my eye the fwd vent looks a little too far aft. If I am wrong, sorry. My 20' Seafari only has the aft one.
At this time probably will not make the scallop event. Would like two large long sleeve and one large short sleeve.
Thx again- louvered door and t-shirt man!
