The Wood family knows the meaning of
why is our tent under 6 inches of water.

Because you parked it by the Bayou low?

My picnic tables are 3-0.

Checking in on the 11th leaving the 13th

bumpdraft 10-27-2017 02:44 PM

Just fyi. I just called and was told that they would have a block set up by Monday and to call back then.

bumpdraft 11-03-2017 02:56 PM

Ok,just booked a room. They have a conference room set aside for us. I'm guessing there are 5-6 rooms already booked, but she needed someone to say yes we want at least 10 rooms for the discount.

DonV 11-03-2017 04:28 PM

Well Ron it's now seven rooms, just booked mine. Did not want to wait until say March, call and find out "so sorry Charlie" no rooms left at the inn........!! I've got a PM to Danny our gathering moderator to see how he wants to handle, how many rooms etc. to hold. Shawn said there are plenty of rooms available at this moment .

Will be nice to break out the trolling gear for a change.

Thanks Ron for doing the leg work!!!! :)

I only asked how much the room was, not that we would book it Dan O
er Don V. I said we might, but hearing the cost and knowing how Scottish we are,
I did not commit. We can always plate Welly in the Moose Lodge...

I also said some would opt for the full Monty while others just need a picnic table.
I said we would take maybe 15- 20 rooms, but would easily make the minimum.

The inlet is a good one. Plan on going in and out Ft P as St Lucie is not so friendly.
The 10A buoy which held bait is gone from my intel.

Don't make this complicated. Just call and reserve.
Are you listening CAPE COD?

Ken, don’t forget “our” fins!

DonV 11-03-2017 09:39 PM

Hey Sandy, my mistake....please forgive me!!!! I forgot to ask the room rate for picnic tables with or without covers, shoot I did not even ask how much my room was, dang it!!! (note to self, follow up on this, need to be more careful). Your next call to the Dockside Inn is for you to be very....very sure the picnic table rooms have the ability to finish the Welly!!!!! No mistakes are allowed on the Welly......... :)

Is this in reference to the Sportsman gathering about three years ago where T-3 went into complete brain fart mode and forgot to bring flippers when he was going diving with 'da Moose?? What's worse no flippers or no tanks? I'm not a diver....just wondering.

I got you covered T.
Has anybody discussed trailer parking with them?

DonV 11-04-2017 05:40 PM

I asked, she said they park the boat trailers across the street. Ramp is down the road about a mile.

kmoose 11-04-2017 06:14 PM

Roger that Don. Thanks

rcnight 11-08-2017 11:04 AM

Booked my room yesterday. Five rooms booked so far. Don’t miss out on what’s for sure to be a great weekend.

Only 5 so far?

kmoose 11-09-2017 11:14 AM

I'm going to get one for a week if I can. Just got to get a few minutes to call. Can anyone re-post the details again... Phone wont stop ringing

Seems Casey is correct....five so far.

Here's the deal.....I got with the Dockside folks a few minutes ago and they are going to "hold" eight more rooms for us. Two Angler Apartments, three Waterfront and three Poolside rooms for us under the SeaCraft Gathering group. This is at a 15% discount as a group rate. Plus they have booked the conference room for us Saturday night. They will hold until April 15th and then they go off of hold and back for sale to the public. Depending how fast they are booked she can add more to the hold list if available.

I know it's a long way off, however after the first of the year their room availability gets slim very quickly.

Thanks again Ron for finding this location, looks sweet on Google earth.

Ronnie did the re-con..

Thanks to both !

kmoose 11-09-2017 12:31 PM

Done! Ground level, dockside (room 108). Checking in the 6th and leaving the 13th. Came out to $154 a day including tax and dock fee. Not bad for a waterfront suite on ground level with my boat sitting right outside in the water.....

Eric B 11-09-2017 12:39 PM

There are more than 5. I booked before the block was set up. 2nd floor waterside

I reserved the conference room and a picnic table.
Without authorization.

The WPB fishin`Club has been going there for a few years now.
I like administration in small portions.

Dang did not keep up as I should have on this, it looks like I "short sheeted" Sandy while he was sleeping on his picnic table. Sorry about the no-see-um's all over your ankles. :)

Yeah Sandy, when I talked with her on the phone, I asked about a meeting place and she said that she reserved the conference room. (Didn't say who did it).
You suggested the place first. I didn't want to step on any bodies toes. Sorry about that.

Ft Pierce Gathering

Guess I haven’t been paying attention. Just realized it’s in FP, my stomping grounds thru junior college. Probably made-out on the Dockside location. Launched & skied from the Pelican Yacht Club to Tucker Cove, between Coon Island and north beach. The cove was much larger in the 60s and early 70s, a nice, protected place to ski. Also fished offshore with Dad; got kinda tired of kingfish. We have been back to the area a bit in the last three years. My recommendations for good, casual, low-key, nearby seafood restaurants:
12A Buoy- on the left on Seaway Drive just before you cross the bridge to Dockside, outside seating is best, inside gets busy and noisy
On the Edge- just west of Dockside Inn on Seaway Drive
Manatee Island- a little eastward from Dockside on Seaway Drive
Square Grouper- right at the inlet, always seemed too busy and crowded to try
Perhaps Chucks, haven’t been there since the early 70s, got rebuilt after a hurricane

Whose name was used for holding rooms?

DonV 11-10-2017 11:25 AM

Terry, tell them you're with the SeaCraft folks. Shawn is who I've been in touch with.

No need to for me. Just booked my room!

Eric B 11-10-2017 05:15 PM

While Ken and Terry are shootiing fish underwater I plan on breaking out the trolling gear and trying to match them on top of the water. Got all the gear and plenty of cooler space if anyone is not bringing a boat or just generally wants to join up on my boat!
