I think we have the feast covered at Davis Ken. How far is Sportsman from Davis?
Sounds like dockage is the only maybe challenge. How many slips at Sportsman?

Thanks Ken!

Snookerd 01-06-2020 02:49 PM

Looks like a great spot! Great job on recon...

bumpdraft 01-06-2020 07:07 PM

So is this the place? If so,four (chummy) people who wanted to stay for three nights need to jump on that cottage, for about $100/night per couple and it is real close to dock.

NoBones 01-06-2020 07:54 PM

Ok Ronnie,,,

1: Whips & chains, check!
2: Ball gag, check!
3: Ear plugs, check!
4: Handcuffs (optional), check !

Think we are ready to go.....:eek::eek:

That's one thing about being old now, cannot remember where that
chit is anymore...

bumpdraft 01-06-2020 09:20 PM

If you say so, but the Pavilion at Sportsmans is big with lots of seating, fans and the ability to stay out of the rain if necessary.

I will also check with my commercial buddy that docks at crabby bills on dockage for a few more boats. It won?t be free but could be an option.

That is correct but I can book the pavilion for a party as I am staying there for two weeks the same time as the gathering.

Ed 01-15-2020 08:43 PM

Did I miss the post with the dates?

NoBones 01-16-2020 10:34 PM

Weekend of May 2nd still...

NoBones 01-17-2020 08:20 PM

Dockage ??

bumpdraft 01-18-2020 05:39 PM

I'm telling ya, that two bedroom house,(four adults) the last time I checked was available (3 night stay though) and right across from dock. I think it would be key to the docks and probably trailer parking. Kyle told me that there was some space for trailers in front of the dock. As far as a gathering spot, the Sportsmans is probably the best, but not sure how that would work if Moose is the only one staying there. The tiki at Davis looks pretty good as well. Hey its almost February guys. POLE?

NoBones 01-18-2020 06:23 PM

Ronnie, if you think that we would have enough dockage for say
10 boats, even if we had to saddle up. it will work..

If that is the case Patti & I will rent the house as we planned to make
a 4 day trip out of in anyways...

Going to come by boat on Thursday from Edgewater to Sebastian..

Guess I better get going and finish the Seafari...
May not be pretty, but at least functional !

bumpdraft 01-18-2020 09:38 PM

The day I was there,I counted 7. Saddle up? Yeah probably 10, maybe more, if the tide was just extraordinarily low that day, part of the dock leading out to the end, could be used. The website says that the bungalow house has the dock access, so you could claim the other boats I guess.

That's the spirit. Come one. Come all.
Leave the sears catalog at home for the week.

Thanks Ron!

NoBones 01-18-2020 11:25 PM

Decision will be made this coming Monday by the end of the day..
More later..;)

fishlips56 01-20-2020 08:53 AM

Ken, What do ya mean "may not be pretty"? Whadya do, she was pretty when she left my driveway.
Bar

cdavisdb 01-20-2020 09:13 AM

Planning on being there and staying on the boat.

NoBones 01-20-2020 02:57 PM

Okie Dokie, here we go..
Reserved the "Bungalow" 04/30-05/02 (Thurs, Fri, Sat.)

At the Davis House Inn, Sebastian, FL.

We can squeeze all the boats we can at the dock for the weekend !! :D

Call Kyle now he only had one booking for that weekend...
We will have the run of the place !

PS: No deposit, just a CC for file..

Also Barry, I should have said not "Gucci" presentable.... But I'm working on it !

rcnight 01-20-2020 05:48 PM

Sounds great. Any special pricing on the rooms? Got a new tow vehicle so should be able to bring the 20 or 23.

DonV 01-20-2020 05:51 PM

I didn't get any.

77SceptreOB 01-20-2020 05:55 PM

$160/night+Taxes. Boats & Trailers stay for free, under the watchful eye of No Bones at his waterfront bungalow, lol!

I think they only have 12 rooms total + No Bones' Bungalow Suite, so space is limited. First come, first serve. I booked our room this afternoon.

P.S. I saw on the website there is a 10% Senior discount (over 55).

NoBones 01-20-2020 06:22 PM

I have feeling we will be full out before the end of the week !
There is a Best Western on US-1 just south of Davis St. less than a mile.
This would at least give overflow space for those that
may not be bringing a boat, but want to come and hang
with the group up the street... :)

gofastsandman 01-20-2020 07:42 PM

Got my picnic table.
Have Slacker, will travel.

NoBones 01-20-2020 09:16 PM

I looked a few myself but found anything near the inlet was way more than I'm paying. The others didn't have sufficient docking or were miles away from the inlet.

NoBones 01-25-2020 09:06 PM

Terry is changing planes in Texas.
The place is perfect.

Lots of locals to help with fishing numbers as well.

DonV 01-26-2020 09:40 AM

Yeah....Terry and Marsha snow skiing in Taos, NM!! Who would have thunk it?? :)

cdavisdb 01-26-2020 11:04 AM

Connor is drifting in for Saturday, intending to be in Mosquito Lagoon for the previous days. Dockage seems to be an insurance issue if not renting a room. I may have to anchor off, not a problem.

You better be bringing a BIG bucket of fresh clams from my lagoon for Saturday night !

It is an easy run from the lagoon to Sebastian..

cdavisdb 01-28-2020 04:48 PM

Order recieved. How big is big?

NoBones 01-28-2020 08:19 PM

You are limited to a 5 gal. bucket per harvest
Not more than 10 gal. on board.
They must be at least 1 inch or larger....

Lagoon clams are the best...

I will give you the best areas to work !

Sunday we can run back north up the ditch together..;)

kmoose 01-29-2020 11:19 AM

If the weather sucks for offshore I would love to take Mel and Audi to dig clams. Please PM me some details on where to go as my granddaughter would get a kick out of that!

NoBones 01-29-2020 11:41 PM

I would have to blind fold all of your crew...
Spin all of you around in circles, than turn you loose to go
forage for those tasty lil' calms !!

No worries Ken the Mosquito Lagoon is a big place..

Capt Terry 01-30-2020 12:31 AM

Spring Fling

Hey Ken
Anita and I are tentatively planning on it and staying with a long time friend with a guest house about 18 minutes south on the beach. Paul fished on my Seafari about 40 years ago. Hope he joins us for some of it. Has a Capts license and beautiful 38? Cambbell in FP. Hope to see you.
