Nice work Sir!
As Ken said worthy of the "Gucci Stamp Award" I would still would like to see a bit of Teak on that consol. Surprise me |
Very nice work the short counsel..and perfect height LP...custom rub rail and pipe work all stand out making this one well thought out skiff. You nailed it!

Thanks everyone for the comments, been using the boat a lot lately and still haven't found a solution for shade. I thought I was onto something with a product called Hydra Shade that is basically an umbrella that securely fits in a rod holder, but it looks like they are not producing them anymore. Anyone have any other ideas? I have tried and passed on the Anchor Shade and the TUUCI Top is too rich for me.

LaPorte's Upholstery, and others, make a shaded cover using poles on the corners pulling a Sunbrella type material tight. I would imagine you need 4 rod holders in the cap to support this. I have no idea on cost but they're collapsible and you can run with them up.

Me likes the good ole Bimini top...I have a Tucci on my Egret and although it is nice and you can run top speed with it... the down side is it's cost and does not provide as much shade as a Bimini. Don't get me wrong the shade is adequate and it is easy to put up and take down and looks really nice (they are made top quality) but if shade is what you want a good SS bimini that you can easily take on and off the boat works great.

Nice build need the inspiration.
Is that a "birdsall mini"? just picked one of those up for our build. Looks like a nice fit. Ryan |
Wow that came out great you should be proud! Looks real sharp, you did a great job on the awlgrip and I love the layout.
|
Looks great! I may have missed it but how did you calculate the deck drain placement?
|
Hobie I tried to flip your images and they got downsized in the process...I have a new version of software that I down loaded on my computer...I'll try to figure it out...sorry about that..

Thanks guys, yeah it is a Birdsall 32 mini rocket launcher with the storage tray. Im really happy with it. As for the drains... the TLAR (That Looks About Right) method was used. If I stand on on the transom a little bit of water comes out of the drains, but when I start moving it's gone almost instantly. If Im at the console station, no water in the boat when stopped.

Super nice build!
