Forecast looks pretty good. The breeze should keep the bugs at bay (I hope)
  • Friday Mostly sunny, with a high near 82. East northeast wind 10 to 15 mph.
  • Friday Night Partly cloudy, with a low around 67. East northeast wind around 10 mph.
  • Saturday Mostly sunny, with a high near 83. East wind 10 to 15 mph.
  • Saturday Night Partly cloudy, with a low around 66. East wind around 10 mph.
  • Sunday Mostly sunny, with a high near 83. East wind 10 to 15 mph, with gusts as high as 20 mph.
The NWS marine forecast only reaches out to Friday. Seas 2-3. Should be a lovely weekend. Looking forward to seeing the gang.

Yeah Dave, I've been looking at the marine forecast for the last few days and they have pretty much settled in the 4' to 6' range for the seas Saturday. Just means I have less tackle to haul over there.

We were out on the Right Hook today and it layed right down. Fingers crossed. Bones, wanna run shallow and spot Cobia. They are thick here right now. Dolphin right in there with them.

4-6 sounds not so good, but a lot of that is a small swell(thank you surf models). The chop on top shouldn't be bad with 10-15 knot winds, especially in the am.

Bad news from Snookerd's Outpost:

I have a schedule conflict and can't make it! Who wants my 2 night waterfront camping spot for $40?? I have been planning to be there since Oct and want to see it go to one of our crew. I know they ID you when you get there, so it will have to be ok'ed by the management.

Assuming family plans are changed on me last minute, I am planning on cruising up from Vero on Saturday. What time would be good to show up? What side of the island will everyone be on, i suppose I can just look for the seacrafts?

I may be a bit off on this, however during mid day there may not be too many SeaCrafts to find. I'm thinking most folks will be cruising or fishing until late afternoon. Looks like the southern tip of the island is the place we will be. Seeya!!

So, for those showing up midday Saturday, what VHF channel will everyone be on? We used to use Channel 72 when I lived in south Florida. Unless someone posts a different channel tonight, that's what I'll be on. I will answer to "Blue Heron", go figure. And for late arrivals, I'll try to keep track of what most of us are doing.

Julie and I will be looking for a decent place on the water to have lunch, in case anyone wants to join us. Not sure what we'll do after that, just play it by ear, I guess.
