floor

Started back after the rain and cold spell. Got the floor cover fitted and ground back a few inches all the way around. It fits from the bottom up. That is why I did not glass both sides yet.also Joel sent me my new hatch that is going in the the floor. I will cut the floor out and bevel edges down and then glass the whole thing to get her to the hatch. Then glass the floor from underneath and tab it all in..

fitted the hatch

Well had a late start. Went out in the gulf and tried out my buddies simrad evo side scan on some wreckage. Very cool stuff. Anyway drank a pitcher of beer at Hooters , so now I was ready to use high speed routers and measure precisely where this hatch is going. Well found centerline.double checked four times and then cut the opening. Dropped it on then outlined the flange. I put a straight edge, on top and noticed it was raised about a1/8" above the deck. So then took the router and flush fitted the hatch flange.. Mind you I still need to glass another layer of 1708 and 1.5 oz mat on deck to tie the hatch and new deck to old deck.so the around the flange are will be about 3 layers of 17/08
