Been on this site for a couple years keeping an eye on things.... finally picked up this 1972 20ft a few weekends ago and have taken it out a handful of times already... picked her up from a great guy in Boca and she will now reside up in Jupiter, Florida. 2 1/2 yr old twins love it and always ask to go out on the boat. Need to redo the floor at some point and also move the tank from under the console to under the floor and fwd.

I am in High Bar Harbor, across from Barnegat Light. The boat is in Hance and Smyth now having the fuel tank pressure tested.

A year into owning our 1973 20', we've finally been able to enjoy it. 2016 was spent working on the 1988 Yamaha 130 that we bought with the boat (it was tired and unreliable). This spring rigged a DF140 and have been enjoying every minute of our time on the water.

We use it for a family boat in Barnegat Bay, off of Long Beach Island, NJ.

I can help with that.

I'm new to this site, and I'm trying to sell my 1981 23' Open Fisherman that I purchased in 2000. I can't seem to figure out how to go about posting boat .
Can anyone help me out ?

Thank you,
Cant. Larry

Go to the "for sale" section and read the top post labeled 'sticky'. should have all the info you need to post a for sale ad. You need to post the paypal transaction number or it will be deleted.

I seemed to have overlooked adding my info to the owner's list, so here goes.

Bought the stripped hull and trailer last fall from Cape Cod, and slowly brought it back to life.

Current stats:

New: bulkheads, wiring, VHF, instruments, controls, Baystar hydraulic steering, fuel tank, water separator filter and lines, oil tank, bilge pump and batteries, lighting, bimini and assorted stuff. Oh and new, raised 25 inch transom, keel and fuel deck glass work.

Motor is a one owner 2002 Johnson V4 Looper 115hp with the large gearcase.

Primarily boat in Raritan and Barnegat Bays, New Jersey, with side trips to Cape Cod, Finger Lakes, Lake George and Lake Champlain as inspiration and wanderlust strikes me.

Next year's to-do list: cabin interior, deck work.

Cheers!

Presently enjoying a 1979 Potter 18' SeaCraft with a Merc 125hp. This is my 3rd SeaCraft, the first being a 23'. Then discovered the 18' w/200hp, repowered with a Yamaha 130hp. The 200 was too much, too heavy, suffered chine walk. The 130 was the right fit.
Made a mistake in selling the 18'. Took a long time to find my current 18. Great boats, great site. thanks, joe, ocean city nj

Nice choice and I'm not a bit biased. ;)

Currently rebuilding a 1986 20 SF into a serviceable family and fishing boat. Was a hurricane Irma refugee, tied to the trees on a farm to ride out the storm after many years of sitting in a barn. The owner offered it for free if I would come get it, a bobcat and short tow later it’s in my yard and the project is underway. Hopefully will be water ready in a few more months, but we all know how that goes.

Build currently underway with some floor repairs, new tank, console. Leaning post, interior paint and non skid, with a 02 merc 125 to be hung.

I’ve got a 1975 18’ center console. Powered by a 130 Yamaha v4. Located in South Carolina, frequently found on Lake Murray and occasionally the Charleston coastal areas. I’ve found some great info on this site and appreciate everyone’s efforts to contribute their knowledge. I’ll try to contribute what little bit I know.
Thanks,
Ryan

The 18" is a great boat. I've had now 4 different 20' SeaCrafts, and was astonished to learn the 18' rode even better in a chop.
