I am nearing completion on one right now. 1 more weekend of glass work and its off to a paint shop. Then a month of rigging and she'll be functional.

Poor Ringleader . . . he probably hears that from his wife everyday. :)

All Ringleader has to say is “Honey I decided to name the boat after you”.

No. I hear much worse. The way she degrades me and my boat projects... Shameful. She hates boats and those who own them because they take men away from family time. What a crock.

I tried that. Actually was going to name the big Mako after my daughter. It didn't make things any better. Bummer.

" Take away from family time" is a crock your right!! I was out on the boat after a couple weeks of being born!! Me and my father so i'm told went out every weekend on the ole' skiff pulling traps and fishing while ole' mom cleaned cottages!!! LOLOL :D We probally waved going by the cottages!! lol :D See the whole family was there!! :D

I would have to agree. If it wasn't for boats and my father, our family would probably be spread out across the country or disfunctional or something.

Good luck Ringleader! I have two daughter 2 and 5 and I get them out on the water as much as I can. Bring them to an Island, let them play in the mud, play with slimy fish, etc. Hopefully you can do the same so she can grow up with those experinces. I will do all I can to fight the "princess" syndrome.

Didn't mean to derail the thread, lets go back to Stricks' project. NICE JOB Strick!!! :D :D

Hang in there Ed. Once you get the big one running you can get the family out in it and everyone will have fun. My kids love going out with me. I let them drive the boat and they get a kick out of that. I'll jump wakes with them in the 23 and they laugh like heck.

I named my ArenaCraft after my daughter but I was already divorced so it really did not matter what I did :D

I started that project while I was going thru the divorce. It really helped me keep my mind occupied during those tough times.

The first pic is the only one I have of the construction. This was back in my glass over wood days.

At first sight, I thought it was a big azz Caddy or something like that. But looking closer, his tow rig actually looks like a pick-up truck (possibly Dodge) with a big animal vet's traveling hospital box in the bed. Am I correct?
