What are the two SS pieces ~ 1/3 way back from bow on gunwale?

Caymanboy 06-10-2013 07:14 PM

Those are pop up button fender holders.

Awesome job!

I bet it feels bigger, eliminating the liner and adding the bracket opens up some deck space. I love the layout.

Cool idea for fender holders, where did you get them?

what degree angle are the flush mount rod holder on the bow ? I want to install similar and do they interfere if you have the undergunnel rod racks I cant tell if you do

Caymanboy 06-11-2013 06:22 AM

-The fender holders are Accon, I got those from Lewis Marine supply.
-It does make the boat bigger, I like it, nice and clean.
-The rod holders are 30 degree, they don't interfere, but you better plan on them before hand. ;-)

Beautiful job, I would say that is "just right".

Now if you happen to get in a relationship with a sweet young thing, and it goes sour, and you decide that there are too many memories wrapped up in this particular boat so you are going to sell it and start another one, would you please pm me?

Mikem8560 06-11-2013 07:41 AM

Thats the problem with bad memories
Things get tainted.

Yea, funny thing with that and SWT's. Hopefully I have learned my lesson on mental involvement with them.
As for boats, I will be starting on the next project soon. There will always be a SeaCraft 20 in the stable, but I need something with a little more WLL. :-)

Your lenco actuators mounted through the bracket!
I will need to do the same for them to fit and get the bracket height correct.
How much rise did you use per inch of setback?
