GREAT POST !! I live vicariously through your pics ... sad i know.. I have been on my wife for years to live ( even if only part time on a boat ) ....we did atlantis about 7 years ago... it was very cool.. Cant wait to see the other resto's... also ... what size are the wet sounds mounted in the console and do they make a sub / tube yet ???

Caymanboy 09-15-2013 08:08 AM

Thank you.
Speakers in the console are SW808's, effin awesome sound.
The only people I know that make a tube sub is Bazooka, I've had and installed many, they do what they can with the space they are in, all in all I'm happy with them, does the job for me and I have never had warranty needs from them.

I'm going to the website for the soeakers... I have my 10" bazooka (auto) in my boat and take it in and out currently because they dont make the bazooka compition for marine use.. think i am going to build a box for a single 12" but i have Lowrance and pyle 6.5's for now and may be looking to upgrade ove the winter.. ( just haven't told the wife yet...lol) the Lowrance ( fusion) are pretty good ... the Pyles are cheap and sound just like you would expect for "cheap" and the more my wife drinks .... the more the volume is pushed up... so i figure over the next couple months i'll have sufficently destroyed them to warrent telling the wife .... i told you we couldn't play the music that loud with out upgrading to ( .... ) speakers ... and thats when i strike ..LOL

thats just wrong....LOL ... i'm smart enough to tear the speaker foam and then let her turn up the music so it has the PPPPFFFFFFPPPPPTTT instead of bass... then i give her that what did you do look ... lol followed by .. i guess i'll have to order new ones... but i usually already have them hidden in the shop !! i have my eye on some already.. and when i order i'm adding 2 more for a total of 6 + the sub...
Gonna try to keep up with Ole !!... Just cant afford the wet sounds.. on less he cuts me one HELL of a deal.... HINT HINT>>> lol

should have clarified the " keep up with Ole "... to his sound system on the boat.... and the life stories he tells are the things that keep my dreams alive and pushing my wife towards living if only part time on a boat...

We can talk, speakers that is. ;-)
Life ona boat ain't bad, it's not for everyone. Should prepare for no space.
I love it, a bigger boat would be nice, so would some bigger other things, but I make do. :-)
Just go into with your eyes (and your wifes) wide open.
There are many couple who make it and thrive.
I certainly am not ready to give it up, not yet, keeps my head screwed on straight. Maybe---.
