Re: 1966 Seacraft

I have a 68 Bowrider that I bought in Green Cove Springs in 97 for $1250, boat, motor and trailer. The hull was sound but cosmetically challenged. The trailer axle collapsed a mile from home after I towed it 300 miles home, but it is an old EZ Loader Roller trailer, and I recommend it. You can unload and load anywhere. I now have a Johnson 150 on it and it tops out over 50 mph with 2 people but cruises at 35 at 4400 rpms.
It was an original O/B but has a manual jack plate and had only a 24 gallon floor tank, so I added a 16 gallon aluminum tank up under the seat and put in a 3 way valve. Since it was tail heavy, it floats fine. The only problem is that it throws a lot of spray and is wet in a cross sea. I have seen a spray rail added that helps, but have not done it on my boat.
I repainted with Awlgrip since I keep it on a trailer. I would attach pictures, but I haven't figured out how to do that.
