Don- That's a beautiful boat! What is a 19' BR?

Re: how much power do I need?
OK- 19' Bowrider. Sorry, I'm new to the site, and Seacrafts. Just saw the profile on Captmin's 1967 19 Bowrider, looks like a beutiful, practical boat. How rare are they? I'm currently considering a 20' CC project boat, but a 19' would actually work out better for me.

Re: how much power do I need?
They are rare but not that rare if it makes any sence. I haven't seen any others up here in New Jersey but I've seen a few in Fla. Think there may be one for sale on this board and there are at least 3 other guys who have them on this board. The 19 is the 20 if I'm not mistaken it's just measured at a differant place (loa verses low"). The boat runs great with a 88 spl but I've seen a 175 on one. It's a great all around boat good for fishing and fun with the kids. She is a wet boat so trim tabs make a big difference.

Re: how much power do I need?
Don,
Yours looks like a little Rybovich with that white accent! Was that original? There is a really nice BR with a newer outboard on a bracket on I think the third page of the for sale listings. I just found a nice Seafari, but I still think the BR is the coolest looking 20 footer. Checked out your website- nice stuff! I may be giving you a call at some point for a radar arch or small hardtop. Steve |
Re: how much power do I need?
That accent stripe idea I took from an Aristocraft of the same vintage. I think it looks cool, makes it look like it has a differant shear line the what it really has. Take a ride down on the 18th of Sept and see the boat in person. We'll be at the Flying Cloud Bar just opposite of Trump Marina in Atlantic City along with a few other CSC guys..1:00pm till ?

Re: how much power do I needed?
150 Yamaha will work just fine on your boat. My friend Al has one on his 20 c/c and it performs well, and is great on fuel. If you have any problems with performance just play with the prop pitch, and you will be happy. Good luck, Sanzo
