Finnie - we were thinking about you while sippeing ice cold beers, chasing tuna, and turning 20 Scepters into submersibles....

Nice meeting all you guys. That was a lot of fun, I'm sure I'll come down next year too! Thanks for the Tuna tips, on the way home we saw about 12 different schools of tuna making the water boil, so we fished for about 15 minutes (had to get home in time to catch the launch) and got 1 tuna in the boat out of 3 hookups. One fish popped off for no reason, one peeled off line for about 30 seconds, tried to spin the boat around to chase it but snapped the line at the last second as we tightened the drag before we were spooled. He got away with a lure.

The one we got in the boat was enough to feed 14 people last night along with some leftovers for today! I can't wait to go back down later this week, hopefully they'll still be around!

Tell me about it!! Talk about "Victory At Sea". Scott took some nice pix of EBEACH and I underway, so hopefully he'll post them when he gets home. Jim did a great job of keeping us afloat, so many thanks to him.

Once again we had a great time, with a better boat turnout this year. Let's see, there was Blizzard's 23 CC, yachtjim's 23 CC, cSickNick's 20 Seafari, EBEACH's 20 Sceptre, Chris Downey's 23 Sceptre, Roger's 20 MA, and thedink's 23 CC. Plus Trayder's good old Thunder Pig serving as the "committee boat" .

Highlight of the day was dragging anchor and having 5 boats all tied together powering up to reset. Very nice work by each captain.

On top of the boats mentioned, we were joined by Capt Chuck, SEAFARI, Scott, John R, and Ed Mancini showing up later in the evening.

Many thanks to Jason and Nadine for their outstanding hospitality and for preparing some kick a$$ bluefin for dinner.

It was great to meet yachtjim, Blizzard and Roger. You all have sweet boats. Everybody else's boats weren't too shabby either.

As soon as I get the pix off my camera, I'll post a couple.

Nope. Finster was too busy towing Bayliners off of sod banks to come get his prize.

It was great putting faces to names and seeing such fabulously restored boats. It’s too bad I had to leave early. I heard the afternoon fishing featured a nice “wind against current steep chop” to test the seaworthiness of the var. deadrise hulls. Glad to know that all passed with flying colors – drenchings notwithstanding.

I also had the pleasure of meeting and fishing with JohnR for the first time that morning. He was instrumental in our success of getting a bunch of tuna in the boat under challenging sea conditions.

And to be redundant and echo the sentiments of all above…. What an awesome time we had !!!! Was great to see and meet everyone for the first time (of course all the repeat offenders !!!)

Many Thanks Nadine and Jason ( oh yeah and Zeus and Yoshi !!) for putting up with all of us “hoodlums”

And a few action pictures of that awesome 20 that has been mentioned by John and Scott. Jim and Scott, the “good” shots I hope are on Jason's and Capt Chuck's cameras. Sunday was too “flat” for action shots !!! albeit so so much easier to take pictures. Saturday’s pictures had a bit more flair … hehe

More to follow !!!
