Re: Please review a deal on a 1977 23ft.
My friend had his circa early 1990's 25'(tan in color) Contender decked out with electronics with twin 150hp Merc's stolen at Hemmingways (North Bimini) abount 3 years ago right in front of the so-called dock security. He was so pissed as he had put many hours of labor in it and loved the boat
I saw him at the West Palm Beach Boat show today. He told me that he received a call from US Customs that they found his boat here in Stuart, Fl. It is now black in color with twin Yami's. I wonder what the title says on this one ? Either way the current guy who is in possesion is the Dumb Azz here. Good thing you are being caucious when it comes to a clear title. Good Deals are hard to come by  |
Re: Please review a deal on a 1977 23ft.
I've purchased two 70's era SeaCrafts in Florida in the past ten years. In time, I realized both had issues: one had a stolen outboard on it and the other had a very cloudy history to the hull itself. Be very cautious, sometimes you don't learn all the details until your local state gov't starts doing the paperwork to register/title the boat in your name. A number of evils can be hidden inspite of a clear title (long story that I won't bore you all with...). If there is ANY doubt, walk away from it.
