Generally speaking, the line of guys swearing AT them is a wayyyyyy lot longer than the line swearing BY them. .... They are not cheap to work on.

Darlene- If you do the research, you will find the exact years that you are dealing with that are bad and the rest of the years are ok. Generally, 2002 and newer are flawless and many 01 are good too. If the bad ones made it past 100 hours you were ok. These motors have 400 hrs on them. That is the same block as the 150, 175, and 200 ETEC with a different, but very solid, efficient, fuel intake technology. From what has been said by forum member Generaider who has those motors, he got a very good deal on his twin 135's, Because the buying public has been told the stories and backed off on buying them.
