Re: 1985 23' SeaCraft 300hp Yamaha
I love the boat. If I had not bought a 23 sea craft cc 1.5 years ago, I would be beating down your door. Your engine is a huge selling feature.
I have a cousin who is presently looking for 23 - 27 ft open fisherman and has been looking at Contenders, among others. I emailed him a few pics of your boat. He is an older fisherman and has fished on many sea crafts over the years (including both of mine) and may be interested. I will let u know. |
Re: 1985 23' SeaCraft 300hp Yamaha
Thanks SteveH. Let your friend know that shes still available and read to go. If hes fished yours then he knows what to expect out of the ride. Contenders wont even compare!!

Re: 1985 23' SeaCraft 300hp Yamaha
If this boat does not sell soon, then I never ever want to hear anyone complain that there aren't old SeaCraft's available at decent prices.
If someone thinks that this price is too high, why don't you buy an old Seacraft for a couple of thousand and then do the following: - Buy a new engine (that 300 HP still has to be worth over $10k) - Redo the deck and close the transom. Install a full bracket (this is another $10k to $15k, easy) - Paint the boat ($2k to $4k at least) - Buy some new electronics like Baxters (another couple of thosand) - Get a new trailer ($3k to $5k) Once you do this your initial couple k investment has all of a sudden turn into $35k to $40k, and it has taken you a year or so to do. Here is a boat already done at $30k. Enough said. |

Re: 1985 23' SeaCraft 300hp Yamaha
Peter, thanks for the post. Guys he is exactly right!! I have a little over 49K in this boat. I really want to sell her to step up to a bigger boat with twins. $30k WAS A STEAL for what she has!! Now its $27,500.00 for ClassicSeaCraft members. I have it listed elsewhere for $30K!!(Peter can vouch for that) Someone that sees it here deserves her more than anyone else. This way she stays in the family!!
