Damn-if that boat was in NY I'd probably have the 18 I'vebeen looking for now. Nice rig and nice price.

Toadfish.
I may be interested in this boat. How soon do you need it out of your yard?

Re: 18 Seacraft REDUCED PRICE

I am looking for my first seacraft so...Since i am a Seacraft newbie I would like to pick your brain. My question is about the hull. Obviously this is not a potter built so what are the differences and are there quality or performance issues with a 1986 hull.? Ideally I wanted a 20'or 23'(nicer lines) but this seems like a deal that's to good to pass up. Thanks

Did you ever get a chance to look this boat over? If so, what did you think?

Mines a 76 and I'd be just as happy with an 86. No performance or structural issues that I'm aware of. As to lines, put them all in a row and the only difference I see is size. The 18 might even ride a little better than the 20 . Just my opinion. ;)

Re: 18 Seacraft REDUCED PRICE

I have received many emails about the boat and have been out for the past 2 days so hopefully this will answer some. This boat was built by CSY Yacht Company based on my past research. I think tracker began making them a few years later. Also, the transom is solid and has not been replaced or had any issues. When I replaced the deck, I did not put any seating back in (leaning post, etc). I use the space in front of and behind the console for scuba tanks and gear. I do have a cooler seat that I occasionally put in front of the console. One more thing that some have asked about....the starboard side scupper can be seen closed in the picture. When I got this boat the scuppers and hoses were in horrible condition. I read many posts about the drainage problems on the Seacrafts...so....I was paranoid that it would sink while I was underwater (usually have no one on the boat when we are river diving). I decided to replace the port scupper and hose with a new one and temporarily closed the other hole with a round plug of wood and a big wad of fairing compound just to see if there were any problems. As it turns out, there isn't a problem at all with the drainage, and I have yet to replace the starboard scupper. I do have a new one and hose, the "plug" just needs to be knocked out and the new scupper installed. If I have time I will do it, but that is why I like posting it on this forum, most here have the knowledge to fix things like this. If there are any more questions, feel free to ask...Toadfish
