Mr. Brown, I too appreciate your pictures and info. Amazing history. That PGA area has really changed. My family sailed Bill Soverel's 48 "Cavu" built right there @ PGA, to islands in the 80's.

If you were to climb up the embankment and cross the street, then climb down the other embankment, that would have been Waterway Marina, which became the SeaCraft dealership after B&H stopped selling them. I grew up just a few miles from there, and went to work for Waterway as a Tow Boat captain in 1983 with my new 100 ton license, eventually becoming the Dockmaster.

Denny, you mentioned that you got your Seafari from B&H. My first SeaCraft was a Seafari, and it, too, was originally sold new right there.

It's a small world, after all.

Yes Mark Hauptner and my Father(Frank G. Brown III, fgbiii@webtv.net) started OceanMaster. Mark still owns OceanMaster, he is also my God Father...

(3) 110 hp Mercs. Does this mean I can put a 330HP on my 20'???. My 20' Does well w/ a 200hp but I bet 330 would be a blast! :D

The 21 that was the basis for the race boat is a much different boat than the 20, so I don't think you can conclude that 3 engines would work on the 20, which was made from the 19 bowrider molds. The 23 was based on the 21 mold, with a couple of feet added, reduced freeboard and different deadrise on the outer panel. Triples might be interesting on the 23 however! Skip and Carla are planning widely space twins on their 21, but it'll have room to mount a narrow 3rd engine in the center! That would be a wild setup with 3 150's on it!

How fast do you want to go? With twin 115's Etecs, it's estimated we'll do over 50mph ... Moesly raced with twin 100's and would go over 55 in the 21 with lots of fuel aboard for the ocean races. The 21 was designed to be a "mean racing machine"...
The wide spread mountings of the engines is to position them behind the flat panels rather than a step ... better traction with less water turbulence. BTW, the steps on the 21 are 3", great for slicing thru the water.
