I'm not knocking center consoles, all i am saying is that i own a sceptre and never get wet to a point where i have to put on rain gear. Where as my friends center console when we go out for bass and an afternoon chop kicks up we always come home drenched.

Is your friend's cc a SeaCraft with trim tabs? I would most likely choose a closed bow boat for off shore only purposes. The only time I get wet is heading west out of or east into Boca Grande pass during the Winter with winds from the north.

jenkinslr,
Nice looking boat, but this is a TOUGH time to sell a boat, and a buyers dream. Your best chance is finding someone that knows what they are getting, and knows what a SeaCraft is. The bad news is at least in my market, there is a lot of inventory on the shelf.

I have fished out of 23 CC/SF, Sceptres, and Savages, and I will never own another CC. Nothing against the SF, but once you get spoiled with the dry covered fishing, and huge cockpit area, it's hard to go back. I know some folks swear by CC's but IMHO, the Sceptre was and still is "the ultimate fishing machine". Comfort and space on a great riding hull. The good news is they are cheaper too :D

Where is the boat located? I would love to see more pictures of the boat.

Lonnie, do you still have it? My friends still talk about how good that boat rides. I constantly catch $h$t from my wife about getting rid of it. "Blah Blah Blah" :D

Steve,

Yes I do, have not been pushing because of the storms.

Are you interested now?

Good luck, I have had my 23 Sceptre on the market for over a month now. I am practically giving the thing away for what I am asking. I have no choice but to sell mine because I am leaving the country for 4 years. If i had a choice, hang onto it for until the market picks up and people have money again.

Cutting across Buzzards Bay afternoon chop from the Elizabeth Islands to Fairhaven/NB/Mattapoisett you're screwed in a CC . . . doesn't matter if it's a contender 31 or a 20 seacraft . . . you will get wet. I don't need foul weather gear in my seafari, but it's a buck'n bronco ride home when that afternoon SW wind kicks up.
