Anybody want to guess at the why of my username? :)
But because you're trolling for stories: My boat is called Fishalot II, (my 2nd SeaCraft Seafari with that name), because at the end of the day as I was closing the marina and getting ready to head out fishing, a regular customer once asked me if caught a lot of fish on my frequent fishing trips. I replied, "No, I don't catch a lot, I just fish a lot". When I came to work two days later, the head forklift operator at the marina I managed had had "Fishalot" professionally painted on the side of my 20' SeaCraft Seafari, and "The GEEK" painted on the side of my 34' Scarab Raider. Laughing, I literally picked him up and threw him off the dock into the ICW. But I kept both boat names where they were. |
The GEEK ???

Had a dog named Abe who liked to stick his pink lipstick out whenever he sat down. We named our SC20 "abe's rocket" in his honor.

That's a good one

And because I was the marina manager, my guys used to say that because I ruled the marina, I therefore must be a geek. |
Cool

It is the name of my boat. A pun, with the logo in the shape of a fish on a hospital stretcher.
The wife says I should have used DarthBaiter, but it was already taken. |
Had a small 18' aluminum boat named Reel Easy, because we had a six day trip when we boated over 150 steelhead. When I moved up to a bigger 22' Trophy and couldn't think of a name, my daughter said well it's a bigger boat,so call it Big Easy.
Now I just use it for a screen name. My 23 Seacraft Tsunami is named "King Temper" because we fish mostly for king Salmon, and I have a bad temper. |
