I agree with Ole on the corrugated bilge pump hose. Get rid of it now. It will crack. Ask me how I know this... Instead, use either 1" nylon reinforced vinyl tubing, http://images.lowes.com/product/conv...43032330lg.jpg or better, 1" spa hose. http://www.homedepot.com/catalog/pro...336366_400.jpg I've found both types sold by the foot at my local Ace Hardware or Home Depot. If you soften the end of either type in hot water, or with a heat gun, it will slip over the 1 1/8" fitting on the pump. In addition to being more durable, the smooth walled tubing will have less resistance, so you'll get better flow. Dave |
