Hello Ed,

I bet you can't wait for spring. Did you ever get to run the boat? You can Add one more 27 to the list, that would be the Old Fin Fighter. It is a 1986 Factory Center Console and will soon be powered with a Single 300 E-tec. It is owned by Captain Joe Fitzback. in Chatham, Ma (He has the Motor) All we have to do is re-do the fuel tanks and hoses, a little bulkhead work and it will be ready to go this spring. I am not sure what the name will be, I will let you know.

Any updates on the performance? Thanks

I am in the process of sanding the bottom and barrier coating spots under stands and blocks that previous yard never did. I also need to barrier coat the bracket and then paint the entire bottom.

Engines are disassembled. Sent out injectors to be tested and cleaned. All new filters, plugs, water pumps, seals, etc. going back in. I also need to pump out the fuel tanks as the fuel smells very old.

Old boot stripe is off. I have begun my two step buffing process (3M High gloss gelcoat compound followed by 3M imperial) - but it takes forever.

If time allows, I am going to sand, paint & prime the cowlings and pans. Then, I will run the boat for the entire season and see what I need to add to the list for next winter.

Oh yeah - I am in the process of making a cabin door too. The old one was made out of lauan or something similar and is falling apart.

Well this is interesting. Scott M, I believe you are correct about the "Don't Worry". I sent a firefighter I hired from NJ down to Tampa to buy this boat sans outboards. He and his father, while visiting SC, were doing some glass work to her hatches until both decided to sell. Thought it went to two brothers in Mass., who had just finished a 20 with some serious teak work. Maybe done at Metan?

In the last two weeks, my boat building buddy in Thunderbolt, GA, (Sav), listed a 66/2015 Bertram 20 (Bahia Mar?) named Sun Chaser with a guy here in my neighborhood in Bluffton, SC. The listing website is Imalwaysinhotwater. Anyway, yesterday I was watching a YouTube video of the SeaVette running, and the Don't Worry showed up for sale on imalwaysinhotwater, on the sidebar of YouTube!?! Now my question is where is it? Weird.

I think Strick was a 49er in a former life.
He should move to Vero and prospect underwater and up the beach.
Recent large find there.

The tide ebbs and flows.

I don't miss Finny`s visuals.
He had a great sense of humor.

I may be, I thought it was a 23 but after looking at it again in the PIC it doesn't have the same chine as the 23 on the front. Also looks like it has the forward raised cap area for the front storage that only the tournament had in those 2 years produced so guess it is. Don't know anything about either hull. Just found the pics cruzing the web...
