I remember when in High School between myself, mom & dads tag
were 61D-54. 61D-55, 61D-56
My dads motorcycle was 61-5

61 was Flagler County... :D

That is Really interesting. We are the original owners of the car and the first tag on it was 61-6.

Ken remember a the county number, like 7 for Orange County, only followed by numbers was a small car, county number followed by single "W" was a regular size car like a Ford, a "WW" was a large car, a truck was G/K. For example a 7WW-12345 tag would be a Cadillac type/size car in Orange county. A 7G/K-12345 was a pickup. Weird.

We did not have too much money we only could afford cars as high as a single "W". NO way a Lincoln, Oldsmobile, or Caddy.

Sports cars and split window VW bugs were a "D" weight classification - Hillsborough was prefaced with a 3 and Pinellas was 4. I think Dade was 1 and Duval was 2.
Why can I remember stuff like that but can't find my truck keys?
Hmmm, I'll check in the refrigerator!

Ronnie, I want to know who that Whipper Snapper is standing in your old 18? He looks kinda like a Trooper who stopped me on the Florida Turnpike in 1971 for a brake light being out (in my split window VW Bug)
