hi Joe: thank you for your energy and efforts in putting this together. My buyer had promised he was coming to pickup the boat. Once again, a no show.
Almost relieved he didnt show.

Next year, hopefully. Drinks on me.
Thanks again,
joe, ocean city nj

Ac 2018

Do you think there will be a 2018 Gathering in AC?

Joe R 06-03-2018 10:12 PM

I have been organizing it for the past 8 or 9 years...the problem is I work 7 days a week and only can make it on a Sunday evening aprox 4 pm till (more that 4 hours of daylight)...and so it was only local boats that could make it...I set the date in summer so we have lots of day light and a high tide...Some guys on here wanted to come from a long distance so a small local gathering late in the day was not worth it...IF THERE IS INTREST here for the same format , I will take it on again......I tell you... I did loads of work , printed flyers and posted them , loads of emails to guys. posted on fishing sites. and facebook,,,and still get only a few boats...BUT I will try putting together one again ...maybe , change few things

I feel your pain Joe R, like you said you only have Sunday and that makes its rough as I would stay over on Sat night and make a weekend of it but got to me at the job Monday? If you plan to have it I'm sure you'll post on here so I'll check now and then - Thank You for all your work to keep the SeaCraft community alive in NJ, I've been an owner since 1985, first a 20 and then the 32 in 2001 - none better!

I will post as soon as I know...another thing is slip openings...Gardners Basin is free for the deck bar. and Farley Golden Nugget free for bar / deck...but both are first come first serve, Saturdays and Sundays are busy,,however the Basin empties late Sunday
afternoons...These have been very small local gatherings.. a hand full of boats come by water....Golden Nugget takes reservations or may hold some slips but there maybe a cost after so many hours...I will check into it

Joe, you have tried your best to put a gathering together and I admire that....

Really have a hard time trying to figure out why you guys up north just
can't make it happen ???

Maybe you all just need to be worthless drunks like us crackers...

If all else fails, just throw in the towel and join us in September at Homosassa Springs at MacRae's, just bring plenty of juice & hoch !! ;)
