I called Bones today and got voicemail...
I said I had a place for our gathering...

He returned my call:
WE ARE NOT GOING TO PEANUT ISLAND AGAIN &$###^ *&%$@#

Not hi how are you Sandy?
Not what do you have in mind?
Not how is your roof...?

I had incoming and said I`ll call back.
The incoming were a young couple restoring a 34` Hatt cruiser.
Just like the one Denny looked at but passed on...
Lotta work ahead for them.

I called back and said the WPB fishin` club does a yearly jaunt much like we do
in Ft. Pierce.

Now these folks are much like we are.
Some have their names on buildings,
and some have their names on work shirts.
Some are even crazy like me.

I went to their site and hit the link.
BINGO.

Dockside Inn Ft. Pierce.
Just in the cut.
Three grills.
Cheap rooms and new docks going in long before our arrival.
More docks than rooms.
Chachacha.

Lea is our contact and is expecting calls.
May 11th and 12th are open!
Straight shot from the gulf and easy for the east coasters.
We get a 15% group discount.
Yes Don, my wallet is also dusty and now very wet...

Jack`s Link.

The diving is close, deep, shallow, and with little pressure.

Hello,
Cape Cod calling here.
Done.

Appears to be plenty of dockage for 37ft Trawler.... "Rip Van Winkle"

Snookerd 10-24-2017 10:27 PM

Denny indicated that the 37 Trawler may be headed north by Sebastian in early April. How about an earlier time if the motel closes in May?

bumpdraft 10-24-2017 10:40 PM

Yeah, friends of mine used to stay there. Not quite the laid back venue of the sportsman, but more options to fish in case of windy weather i think and the dock is in an idle zone. It was on my agenda to check out on my way back from here in Pompano. Dock fee is a little steep, but what the heck. Sounds good to me.

Ugh Danny, me thinks you missed page 3........

May will be a little late for me - most Loopers that start from S. Fl leave in late March early April to get to the Chesapeake by June and Canada by July or early August. Idea is to follow the season for best weather. Generally want to be off the Great Lakes by Labor Day and about halfway to Mobile in the river system by about mid-October, ideal time for a side trip up Tennessee river to Chattanooga and Knoxville! At 7-8 kts, it takes about a year to do this trip right!

Not to worry!! I have new printer cartridges and some special paper on order for my "mac daddy" dead president's printer, I should be fully funded by next May.

Sounds like a great location.

October on the Great Lakes is no problem (20 miles out on 21-October!). Take your time, show off the new tug.
