I don't think so. The boat in that ad does not have the raised cap nor are the boxes at the transom the same. Lastly, the engine cowling cover is totally different. The console looks the same, however.

Congrats Topflite....

Big question, where is it's new home ??

Didn't go very far, one from Boca Raton Florida to Boynton Beach Florida. About two towns away

I’m not sure what month in 1979 Mr. Potter sold, nor the month mine was built, but an old member here, can’t remember his user name, but Roger is from RI, and had an identical ‘79 Master Angler to mine. He may have been a fly fisherman because he had added electric trolling motors to his (Bennett?) trim tabs.

Also, after discussing my MA with Denny (Bushwacker), he believed mine may have been built late in Mr. Potter’s era, because the gel coat is so thin that it has “print through” of hand laid woven roven. He proposed possible cutting back on the thickness prior to sale of his company. Having hand laid quite a few Jersey Speed Skiffs over the years, I came to like the look of my hull. Interesting.

For reference, my HIN is SECM00620279.

I can’t remember Rogers user name for the life of me. Miss the old site. And my Avatar...

I might see about doing a title search on it to find out who the original owner was. Just have to find out how to do that. Will keep you posted.

Marine fisheries, wildlife agent maybe?

dcobbett 12-11-2017 05:18 PM

Guessing, but Roger's name might be Roger Stgermain (not sure of my spelling either).

Vezo, Part II 12-11-2017 05:35 PM

That’s It, St. Germaine. Do you remember his boat/username? His boat was damn close to identical to mine. Good call! Thanks.

Michael.
