Great project & nice lay-up! Have you checked out Daytrip01's posts over on Thehulltruth where he has extended 2 x Bertram hulls?

Had to get hullsides laid up before the mold weathered away!

Gonna do another layup in the new section for some more bulk and overlaps in keel and chines. Transom will get a few layers tied into new hullsides as well.

Mold pics. Very high tech. Basically used a batten to find the chine taper location as it goes back to the new transom, and fastened the bottom to a fair chine line. Aft corner mimicked the original lines but added a bit more tumblehome toward the top. The material i used took some nice fair curves for the most part...

Onward and upward. Transom is cut for 30" shafts at 28" centers. I was advised by a higher power to keep the motor centerlines around 8" away from the step, and ive got almost 9" at that spot...

The outer sections will be cut down some more, gotta figure out stringer/deck height and whatnot...

Have you been over to see the higher power`s boat?
