The Gator Judge in Ocala scores the rebuild a 10 out of a possible 10 !

I'd be out there staring at it at night also.

Congratulations.

Can you spray water on those speakers? I see lots of fish blood and guts getting on them when you wash down the deck. Hopefully they are easy to clean :)

FishMagnet 05-11-2012 07:52 AM

JL speakers are water proof. I have them in my SeaVee too and they sound great.

I see lots of fish blood and guts getting on those speakers as well!!!

Are those drink holders in the dash angled ? If they are where did you get those .....

Your rig is SWEET

GodsReel 05-12-2012 11:27 AM

magnet
how much did you raise the floor? Its gonna be beautiful.

FishMagnet 05-12-2012 01:28 PM

The drink holders in the dash are not angled-why would you want angled drink holders?

I didnt rasie the floor at all. With the positive floatation bracket and the scuppers out back we are seeing almost no water in the cockpit even when three large men stand together in the corner. (I wanted to see if we would take on water while bringing a large swordfish over the side. ) We did glass in the fuel tank (after moving it slightly forward) and then glassed in the floor, console and seat live well combo so there are no screws or 5200 to loosen.

qbanned 05-12-2012 02:16 PM

My Mistake I thought they were on the angled part of the dash but looking further they're not ... Mine is angled so I was being wihsful

GodsReel 05-12-2012 07:31 PM

magnet good to know , my floor is stock and i am gonna run the drains through the back this winter , hopefully my four stroke on floatation bracket will be that dry. did you cover the drains on transom?

We put 2 1/4 inch thru transom scuppers with flapper valves. So far they are working great! We had the boat rolled to port with the scupper 4 inches under water and no water came in the boat.

GodsReel 05-13-2012 08:58 AM

Thanks magnet, go get that beautiful boat bloody, let me know how the anchor storage works out to , i am gonna copy you on that this winter also.

FishMagnet 05-13-2012 09:05 AM

GR- I put 600 feet of 3/8 rope and a chain and anchor in that anchor compartment. We put a vertical receiver in the anchor locker for the anchor shank and the rope goes in around it with the anchor hanging by its arms. Its full but it works

GodsReel 05-13-2012 09:01 PM

what size speakers are those in the stern where your access was?

FishMagnet 05-13-2012 09:40 PM

JL 7.7 inch speakers. got another pair and a pair of subwoofers in the console. the boat rocks!

FishMagnet 11-09-2013 05:23 PM

One thing I learned from this remodel-Dont put speakers near your compass. I was always showing a westerly heading until I moved the two upper speakers and put in magnetic shielding for the two lower sub woofers.

Seacraft84 11-09-2013 08:23 PM

She looks awesome. Going to do our 23 after we finish the 19.
Have any pics of the scuppers with the boat just sitting in the water?
We are planning raising the floor about 4" and making it a level deck all the way forward.

Prospect Plastics in Fort Lauderdale did the dash and the switch panel out of carbon fiber and they were totally custom as far as color size and number of switches. we bought the switches and wired it. Both panels were surprising reasonable.

Thanks for the kind words. I am loving this little boat!

I have a 39 Sea Vee and this boat and Im sure that I will have this boat long after the Sea Vee has been put to pasture. Many have inquired about buying it but I dont see it happening, There is a special feeling when you take an old classic and remodel it and make it your own.

Beautiful boat. Very nice. I may have missed it somewhere along the line, but what are the two holes in the floor right in front of the console?

They are quick disconnect fittings for a second removable livewell

Just went through this build again. Amazing work. Would you by any chance have pics of the forward live well attached and what connections you used. I'm thinking of having the same option in my build.
