If I get my new to me 23 in order, I’m quit sure my wife will not want to be with me. Something about conking our mid-stream last time. How about a charter plane for the wifes? Or is there scheduled air service?
Lots of flights to Marsh Harbor. A charter might get you to a smaller, but closer airport, not sure.

You can pick them up at Freeport which is a southern detour from west end. It’s the best price and the closest point to pick them up…. There are flights right there in Freeport as well.

It is a 65 Viking that belongs to a buddy of mine !!
He is always looking for an excuse to run to the Bahama's.. I just gave it to him ! ;) That was us during Snapper season last month... Me in the port corner, Jr next to me. It is a late model battle wagon for sure ! 2 state rooms, fully stocked galley, 3 heads with showers... 3 A/C's, reverse osmosis system that makes 70 gallons an hour, need I go on.. The older we get the more I love comfort..:D |

Must be nice! Maybe he can throw me one of the crew’s mid tier beers 🍺 if I pull up close enough to the stern! |

I could tie off behind Bones and fill my live well along the way. Live bait for everyone! |

Extra question on the poll (extended trip) for those that want to fly the wife into Marsh Harbor to attend the Cheeseburger 200 boat sand bar party on July 2nd.
I have no one to fly, Lucie will be staying at a friends! I’d like to try the extended trip, but may choose to travel either way with biggest group. My boats not insured but will have a ditch bag strapped to my rods!!!
Hmmm |
Sounds good You should be all set....
****Update*****Dates are locked 7/10-7/14. DonV and No Bones and I are going....who else wants to head East to the Bahamas 🇧🇸?? Plans are getting put together.
Can you make some suggestions for landside lodging?
Hey Casey - Rosies and Josey Wales are the names of the two places that I typically look at… As far as I know they don’t take reservations. I do know the owners son at Josey Wales and I will send him a message and ask him about reserving at his location. The hotel in Jupiter to stay overnight before we clear the inlet is called the Jupiter waterfront inn. I will post phone numbers later today.
Messaged my guy on Grand Cay.... he is preparing to reserve up to five rooms for us on the 11th,12th, and 13th. They usually don’t do reservations, but we may be able to pull a few strings. Jupiter waterfront in phone number to book for the 10th ( The night before we leave) *+1 (561) 747-9085
OK, we have five rooms available three standard rooms and two with kitchens on Grand Cay. We’re going to need to book these quick so, let me know by next week if you going to be a part of the first gathering in the Bahamas. I also need to know what room you want.
I'm in.

Cool. It going to be epic. So far we’ve got team Snookerd, DonV, NoBones, Briguy, (maybe Tyler and Casey) going. Here is the motley crew who said they were going....C’mon brothers, do it!
If I can finish up my transom and splash it by May 1, I’m in.
Great.
Just got off the phone with the hotel ($119 night booked online) and the place next door where we dock our boats and park our vehicles / trailers. Wednesday night $50 for dockage and $10 per day parking w/ trailer. Only available for 5-7 more people (you have to tell me if you want dockage and trailer parking, NOT the hotel!!!). Hotel phone # 561-747-9085

As Denny has said many times here, anything out of the north quadrant is a no go. I have days on either end. |

Dang it!! We’ve been found out GFS!
Dang and I bought us some nice heavy duty tow ropes to tie up in a SeaCraft daisy chain to the the Viking for the trip over! I figured Ken would have no problem seeing us back there from the air conditioned salon sipping some foo-foo drink!! Well Sandy on to plan "B" :)

Ken-Two thoughts: 1.)15 to 20+mph winds the whole week- Hold in Jupiter/travel the "ditch" north toward Sebastian 2.)15 to 20+mph winds for a day or two around departure time or return time - leave early/late or return early/late Not crossing with any Northern wind direction. Hoping for 5-10mph West wind on the way over and 5-10mph East wind on the way back!! |
4 SeaCrafts committed to going.....We have room for a few more.
