Quick disconnect hydraulic fittings are available - I have used them on brake systems on race cars - to facilitate removal and replacement of rear axle housings. We did not have to bleed the brakes. Sources would be Aeroquip or Wilwood.

all great ideas and thoughts, thanks for that. I am still going to try to have everything stay connected. If that doesen't I will have to get creative i guess. thanks guys.

Hey, another question for ya: If I get a plotter/fishfinder unit can I use my current thru hull transducer or do I have to install another one?

Depend's on what unit you have, what unit you buy and if the plug on the end of the cable are compatible.

What's the big deal about making the whole thing tilt forward? That is how one of our Seacrafts is set up and there is absolutely no issue with any of the cables or hoses. We are going to make ours powered up and down too. If you already have Bennett Tabs then you can use the Bennett rams. These are special rams for doing stuff like this. You have a lot of weight there so I'm not sure how much lifting power you will need. There are bunch of comapnies that make worm gear style rams too.

Here are some more pictures of the gelcoat and the completed project, minus windows, on the boat:

The gelcoat will not be polished. Total time to completion was 1 day to frame, 3 days to glass, and 1 day to gelcoat (2 coats). Not bad for a rookie if I say so. What do you guys think.

Great work. If I lived up your way I'd probably do the same only narrower for my 20MA. It's got the large console that I will probably make more narrow so I can install a T-top. I had thought about mounting one similar to your original but guessed it wouldn't be as solid as I would like. About how much of the 400# do you guess the console was?

Re: My first

probably about 300 lbs for just the console, she was a heavy b@st@rd.

Hey Chance1234 noticed that with the new dog house that you are not using the front console door. Just wondering ifso would you consider selling it, my 78 23cc didnot come with the nice built in seat, and the wife and kids would love the extra seating.
