I hope it remains an absentee vote but if word comes back that things are torn up bad enough, I guess I'll hop a flight to West Palm and get on with the clean-up

Capt. Chuck is my eyes-on-the-ground down there now so it's a wait and see game for now...

Well the worst is gone! Still have 40+ winds here.Mostly Tree Damage.Only one tree on the house not to bad. All the rest ripped to shred's,I've wanted to trim one tree 30+ ft. for a while,Its done Now !The SeaCraft Survived Payed to pour a 4 ft hole of concrete with a 3/4 logging chain to hold Her down.(originally theft control) . There's Bou' Cou' Tree & roof damage around the neighborhood.Took a quick walk came back got the camera & shot a few pics. My site(frenzie) is down (Getting used to this) So i used a another site I have.Guess I can go out now & start Cutting ! We had little rain otherwise we would've lost every tree, being pushed over. These were just snapped from the force of the wind.Well over 100 mph winds this am substained Gust ? Whew . Noisy in the attic ! Checking for leaks tree damage etc. I brought My dry cell battery in & used in to go on line & Keep My salt water aquarium going. Got to use the ol' camping gear for a while.Underground utilities ! Man0Man can't beat them. They turn em' off for the protection then back on. Only off for a few hours.Hope all are doing as good Thanks for all Your Concerns ! Just Muscle is needed here! She's a "3" now & headed North so You Boy's up There Take care ! Wilma's Pee'd OFF !Fred caught Barney Peeking up Her Skirt !

Re: Wilma

I'm here...made it through ok. Seamaster's neighborhood had around a 5ft storm surge. Lots of flooding in the lowers keys and no power, phone, or functioning vehicles for most people. Check the link on my earlier post for the fl sportsman forum. The lower keys to a beating from the surge. Later...don't want to use too much battery time on the laptop.

Re: Wilma

I've tried repeatedly to get through on the cell to both Joey and Reelsmoker to no avail.

Looks like I'm probably going to fly into WPB to deal with the cleanup

I'm with you Ikan! Wish I knew someone with access to the Airbase so they could tie mine down to the trailer, she's now just sitting on it and I don't know what I'll find when I get home. Hope she survives.

Re: Wilma (Other tom & Captain Chuck?)

Has anyone heard from "the other tom"??I am pretty sure he lives right in Ft Lauderdale. The damage to the area was bad enough to cancel the boat show this weekend. It may be postponed until next weekend.

Anyone hear from Captain Chuck since his last post??? Sounds like he had some damage to his beautiful house.

Ed
