Re: 27 project
Good luck with this one Ken! It's the ultimate SeaCraft! I have a friend that bought one new - had a big block Mercruiser in it. It was a great Bahamas rig! Denny

Re: 27 project
Hi NoBones:
That would be a cool name for her. I always have thought the SeaCraft really missed the boat by not pursuing the 27 CC as a key boat for them instead of the 25 footer. Dont get me wrong I like the 25 footers but for me when you already have the 23 footer as a key boat you need to really kick it up a notch and the differences between the 23 with a bracket and the 25 are kind of competing against each other where as the 27 foot CC would have been a defined major difference. If you get her whats your plan CC or keep her like she is? I/O or twin outboard on a bracket? FellowShip . Just for the Grins :D :D Official Antique Classic SeaCraft Owner |

Update....
Tarpun and I just returned from the recon. All I can say is if someone is serious about this boat "BE PREPARED" for a major expense in just moving her. The boat has not moved since 1982. It is a TOTAL gut. What the weather did not take its toll on the rats, termites and racoons did!!!!! http://i7.photobucket.com/albums/y27...PDR_0007-3.jpg http://i7.photobucket.com/albums/y27...4/PDR_0014.jpg http://i7.photobucket.com/albums/y27...4/PDR_0018.jpg http://i7.photobucket.com/albums/y27...4/PDR_0022.jpg Keeping in mind that there is the one in Texas for sale right now for $12,500. Where as this restore will be somewhere between $65-$85,000, just a conservative guess. May the best man win ;) See ya, Ken |
Re: 27 project
That's too bad. That thing looks like a total wreck. Were the stringers and transom rotton too?? Or did you even go that far b/f throwing your hands up and waiving the white flag?
