Tom can also supply mixing cups, as small as 2.5 oz wax coated medicine cups; the small cups are real handy for measuring the catalyst quantities. His prices on all paint supplies are pretty good, about the same as Glue Products, a large local paint/body shop/fg supply store.

I haven't read anything about priming first. With any of the paints mentioned you will need to prime, if you do not, you will not get the full effect of the paint you are applying. You may aslo want to look at AwlCraft, it is an Acrylic based paint and can be repaired and buffed in.
my 2c worth.

Re: so which paint

I can vaguely remember Tom at SF telling me he didn't recommend priming with his paint, as the primers won't bond as well as his paint to the gel coat. I can attest to the adhesion of the stuff, I even had a drip on a piece of anodized aluminum that wont come off.

Spoke with Tom he said no primer just wash the boat with detergent and paint.

Sounds easier than prime - sand - paint

Yep, I can attest to that also, it is a good paint. I painted the console of my 23 that I just posted.

Well, I might dissagree with that opinion. In either case, it is no so much and adhesion issue, as an issue with pin hole's. Gelcoat is very porous.

Re: so which paint

When I painted the interior of my boat, I found that all the holes and cracks I repaired showed through the paint requiring additional coats. If I were to do it again I would prime also.
