Looks pretty good to me. Turned out pretty smooth and released from the mold. You gotta be happy with that. What is the white material you lined the mold with?

Re: 1972 23' cc project
it was a $11 piece of panel board (mdf)thats about a 1/8'' thick, the white side was painted realy smooth so all i did was wax it with some mothers and it turned out pretty good for me.

yea I think you probaly could get away with it. Its not as smooth as a piece of glass but if you were to take your time with the edges and the waxing then I bet you it would work.

Re: 1972 23' cc project
So my progress has been slow but I have managed to get a little done lately.I was able to cut out some more of the floor and patch the big hole on the inside.I used 4 layers of 1708 mat. hopefully I can get the outside done this weekend.I had used a 2x4 screwed to a peice of 3/4'' plywood to keep the hull side straight when I glassed it up. http://i1099.photobucket.com/albums/...y/IMG_0351.jpg http://i1099.photobucket.com/albums/...y/IMG_0350.jpg http://i1099.photobucket.com/albums/...y/IMG_0349.jpg http://i1099.photobucket.com/albums/...y/IMG_0352.jpg http://i1099.photobucket.com/albums/...y/IMG_0353.jpg I also had some time to get the front vents filled to. (sorry guys but I just like the smooth look a little better) http://i1099.photobucket.com/albums/...y/IMG_0355.jpg http://i1099.photobucket.com/albums/...y/IMG_0354.jpgThen on saturday when it was raining off and on and I couldnt get any glass work done i decided to get out the pressure washer and try to get some of the old bottom paint off. some of it came off good and other spots theres still a good amount left on there. I guess Im gonna have to sand it. http://i1099.photobucket.com/albums/...y/IMG_0361.jpg http://i1099.photobucket.com/albums/...y/IMG_0360.jpg http://i1099.photobucket.com/albums/...y/IMG_0359.jpg http://i1099.photobucket.com/albums/...y/IMG_0358.jpg I also had picked up this fighting station from my neighbor this weekend for free, not bad huh http://i1099.photobucket.com/albums/...y/IMG_0363.jpg http://i1099.photobucket.com/albums/...y/IMG_0362.jpgI'm thinking about painting it white. has anyone painted stainless before?? any suggestions would be great.thanks

Re: 1972 23' cc project
Stainless is better poweder-coated, I think.

Re: 1972 23' cc project
I started sanding the bracket well over a month ago, this past weekend I was finally able to finish it and get it in primer. so then when it was dry I just had to put it up there to see how it was going to look. http://i1099.photobucket.com/albums/...y/IMG_0375.jpg http://i1099.photobucket.com/albums/...y/IMG_0376.jpg http://i1099.photobucket.com/albums/...y/IMG_0377.jpg http://i1099.photobucket.com/albums/...y/IMG_0378.jpg http://i1099.photobucket.com/albums/...y/IMG_0379.jpg
