Blackfin, I have twin Suzuki Df140's on my Sceptre . They are pretty light 4 strokes and my floor is dry unless I walk to the transom corners. If you get a floatation bracket, it should be a killer rig .

Tunacious, Thanks for the info...What are your performance numbers with the 140's? I'd love to have the twin 175 Suzukis but am afraid of the weight. I was also planing to raise the floor 2-3 inches. Steve

Steve,

did you get rid of the SF25? Congrats on the purchase!

Just curious is that a new windshield frame? It does not look like the original?

Blackfin26 02-10-2012 12:27 PM

I'm not sure if it's a new frame or one that was powdercoated white. I think it was done in '03. It's in pretty solid shape with a little wear and tear. What would I look for to tell if it's an original? I'll investigate and let you know, Steve

Its not original. It should be straight on top like this

Looks good though.

anybody down here on the cape have a place i can pull that engine out my pickup truck is taking up the bay (blown head gasket) and it won't be back together for a while and need to hand over the boat to the new owner even a boom truck anything would help

Wildman 02-14-2012 09:49 AM

Nauset has a boom truck that they will send out with an operator. I work for $100/hr with a bobcat or an excavator. If its all unhooked and unbolted its usually a 2-3hr job from boat to pallet.
