Just off the phone with Ziggy. Snowing there a bit and he is on the road to play a gig with the Hangover Blues Band. Then he has to go to work at 3 am. Love me some Vahmontahs.
Watching the Sawx at Rogah Deeean tomorrowww. They are hot to dive and certified.

Cute penguins

When I was younger and a "OLDER" friend of mine use to consistently beat me in games of handball I use to say "WTF" he would laugh and just say when you get to be my age... "You play your own game and until you figure that out I will keep beating you"

So us old guys now play our own game...:D

DonV 03-11-2013 09:56 AM

"We ole' farts can still keep up with the young bucks... for now!"

Yes Sir.....If nothing else, we're good once as we used to be......:(

Heck no, but you know me, I`ll pull it together.

cdavisdb 04-05-2013 08:28 AM

This weekend is "test all systems" Looking forward to Long Point. I want a ride in a 21!

Connor

strick 04-05-2013 12:18 PM

I'm very jealous. I guess I was born in the wrong state :(

You fellas have a ball :)

strick

DonV 04-05-2013 06:17 PM

I'm with Sandy, why rush in to it now when I can put if off and do later!!!

Here's to hoping I pull it together!! :)

CaptLloyd 04-05-2013 07:29 PM

Don't feel so bad Strick. My house is 25 miles from Long Point, and it looks like I wont make it to the gathering. My big boat schedule has me somewhere between Puerto Rico and Turks and Caicos Islands that weekend.

I was looking forward to camping on the walkaround next to those cool Seafari's, but this is part of the price I pay for the career I chose:(.

Everybody have a great time!

Lloyd

Does not mean you are not welcome strick....;)

Catch a flight to OIA or Daytona and we will get you the rest of the way.

The ponies can wait till you get back to fix them !!

This weekend is fix all systems and next weekend is break all systems. Rinse and repeat.
Tonights forecast is partial darkness, followed by darkness and dawn. Terry may be able
to sell enough tickets to pay for paint. I want a ride in everything. Bones put me in for 5 #`s of those nice fresh shrimpos. Doc, you have to take flight to one of these. You inspire all.
My young slacker still thrills my soul. It really is a great hull for us here. A lot to be said
for cockpit space.

Still learning,
GFS

cdavisdb 04-06-2013 08:57 AM

Test and find out whats broke. don't think about what might break next weekend.

Found a little bit of water in the oil of my outdrive. Lotta problem. Mechanic gets it Monday morning and I'm supposed to have it back in time to test and head for Long Point.

I'd heard less than encouraging things about seals in Volvo SX drives. This my 4th volvo drive and never had a leak until this one, my first SX, second leak in it. Anybody else have experience? PM me if you do.

Everything is broken, I just don`t know it yet.

Ping member Lost2@6, he knows those drives.

Thanks

Still coming, but things are getting a little strange around here.

I got hit by a car today......... inside a building......... at church.

I could not make this stuff up.

Thankfully, no significant damage (to me).

DonV 04-07-2013 08:00 PM

YOU we're the one on News Channel 8 inside the building???? I think it was a VW wagon?? Jeeeeez.......

Nice to hear you are OK!!!!

cdavisdb 04-08-2013 11:32 AM

That got on the news?? Yeah I was the guy inside. The car was a VW and came off a lot better than the building. As far as I could tell, it only had paint scuffs, no body work damage visible. The stuff inside half the building was reduced to splinters and twisted steel. Tough car

DonV 04-08-2013 05:29 PM

Well what really counts is you were not hurt!!!! I would rather not hear the bad news on what "could have happened"!!!! They said he hit the gas "by accident", from what I saw on the news he/she had plenty of time to use the other big pedal!!

Take care!!

NoBones 04-09-2013 07:23 PM

As our annual gathering draws closer, the excitement is rising!

The North Florida crew will be caravaning to LP Friday morning! :)

Blue Heron, Natural High, NoBones, and Lil' NoBones (Kenny)
will all have boats in tow.... Watch out I-95!

Sooo with that being said we should talk about our pot luck
for Saturday night! What works is everyone bring a covered dish to
the pavilion on the south end of the park.. Dave (Blue Heron)
is talking about bringing his smoker to do a whole turkey!

Chips, dip etc. you guys know the drill!

Carla, you have the Moesly banner??

Chuck, you have the Classic banner??

We need them!

Blondie has the big red gathering book! :)
Make sure you sign it over the weekend!

The race is ON!!

See ya there....:cool::cool::):)

Ken-You staying a week? Starting this weekend? I hope your saying that your there on 4/26-4/28 at least! I went out tonight in the Sceptre to Eggmont.....she is ready to go!

gofastsandman 04-10-2013 08:00 AM

Need more Kazoos. Any news from BriGuy?

DonV 04-12-2013 11:59 AM

Ken and all,

Keeping with the smoked meat theme, I'll smoke a Boston butt here at home Thursday and bring pulled pork for Saturday's shindig!! I think it's two weeks and counting for me to be heading east bound!

Snookerd 04-12-2013 05:46 PM

That sounds good Don! Briguy is not going. I'll bring the Red Bull and the Wild Turkey!

Snookerd 04-12-2013 06:57 PM

GFS-Didn't you have a bearing budding story on a Ft Desoto trip?? I had one pop off last week.

gofastsandman 04-12-2013 08:55 PM

I drop them like popcorn in a theatre. So far no folks have been harmed.

Lost one last time at DeSoto too and I bought poorly as a young CSC`Rat and got jazzed by the lines of the art.

As trailers go. On the way home. Pretty hot. 10 more miles and I might have been in
the ditch.

I am sportin` new torsion axles and all new related hubs and toys. New thoughts about kerosene and roofing tar. Dumb caps on the posi lube axles?

Corbin gets big fish.
GFS

cdavisdb 04-12-2013 09:42 PM

Me and DonV should get there about the same time.

Connor

Snookerd 04-12-2013 11:50 PM

Towing across the state should be a breeze for me this year! One reminder is to not overfill the hubs with grease because it either blows out the rear seal or launches the bearing buddy
