Ok I'm booked for Thurs thru Sun.. Thanks to Flexpat. Who will be arriving Thurs?

bumpdraft 05-02-2015 03:32 PM

I stopped in the local seafood market today and they had 100 little necks for $20. I asked about the large ones, maybe some chowders for kmoose to chew on and they said they would be $40. Back when I was clamming, about 30 years ago we got something like 3 cents a piece for those, about 15 cents for the little necks.

Dougie, Marsh and I should be in there on Thursday afternoon, unless as they say, the "wheels fall of the wagon".

DonV 05-02-2015 05:11 PM

Actually I thought it was "I fell off the wagon". In my case I never got on the wagon. :D

Sandy, You' may need a FEMA flood certificate from a surveyor for insurance.

Things could be worse -
at least it's not a Bayliner Gathering!!!!!!

Kenny, I have these vacuumed bagged from April 26 - fresh from Conner and Snookerd's back yard of Anna Maria. Order up!

DonV 05-04-2015 09:16 PM

He's usually right about 30% of the time. If this mess would just get organized and moving, it would be nice.

Did someone say snacks?

Don't feed him after midnight.

Well, this will be the first long tow for me after I changed out the springs to torsion axles.
They ride sweet and the tire wear seems to be ok...but the folks at Oceanside trailers in Tequesta said that this is the most challenging thing they do. Measure twice. They were most helpful in answering my many questions and I highly recommend them.

Last time I was at the hub, they wanted to sell me 3 G`s worth of parts. After I laughed in "Scooter`s" face, he asked if I wanted to look at new trailers. He then said I am not trying to rip you off. I said do me a favor, spare me the false sincerity you %#&%&@W&%*.

The old man was not pleased and said not a word as I stared him down. I don't recommend them at all anymore. Sad really. Guess that is why they are not busy anymore.

Cheers
GFS

kmoose 05-05-2015 07:18 PM

It took me about 4 hours to swap out my springs to torsion. Best thing I ever did. The only thing you have to worry about is curbing them and bending the arm. Never have done it but was warned.

I have a tragic tilt and all their stuff is one off by design. Had to drill some holes here, there, and everywhere. Jesse was a big help as always.

Vis probably zip, but Sebastian is the best break on the entire coast. If any of you want to surf, this is it. The monster hole should be huge and there are nice rights and lefts north of the jetty.

Just put in a new voltage regulator/rectifier. 265 clams
New batts. 220 clams.

Clams.

Big up there right now.
Sebastian is a noteworthy inlet. Very fast tides. Huge offshore now.

kmoose 05-06-2015 11:54 PM

Stayed inside today due to rain. Clear as a bell now with no rain forecasted to speak of. Going to hit the stream in the morning or at least give it a shot. Right now it's a crap shoot on how much offshore we will get done. There seems to be some windows on the windcast but noaa is calling for a very optimistic forecast with seas falling out for the weekend. It all comes down to the system moving north. Nobody really has a good handle on what it will do but inlet and inshore will be good to go and there is plenty to keep us busy.
