Denny, Here's the one I'm using.

https://www.google.com/webhp?sourcei...%20boat%20ramp

Within walking distance to ZigZags as a reference point, or in Sandy's world stumbling distance. :) If you Google Earth it the parking lot is right across the street.

Oh yeah, less than a mile to Mike's place.

No Doubt! If you hit the bottom in this river it will be rock. Good reason my tank will spend the weekend on the trailer.... You guys in the 20' footers will be fine.

Snookerd 09-15-2016 09:31 PM

I've been there by boat...The best ramp is the one out by the mouth of the river. I bumped rock at idle in the Channel. I will try to post a map where the Rock was.

Only one of many. I am the Port Weeki Wachee Harbor Pilot. Do not deviate from my path. I have skeg scars on all the rocks and a couple of gear cases out there in the river. I may have filleted a couple of manatees too! When in doubt, slow down and proceed cautiously. Just R-E-L-A-X and take in the saw grass and Palm Hammocks.

South Carolina battalion - Midlands company reporting in...my current local is Clearwater, Fla and will be reporting in at 15:00 at Vezo II fish Camp. If anyone needs any launching or boat-boy help, let me know because I'm flying solo and boatless. WYL 9483 out.

Vezo, Part II 09-15-2016 11:48 PM

All good Brothers and Sisters. New W/D showing up Monday so I will handle all laundry! Lucie being groomed in early, or so, am. Freezer apparently working enough to stuff/keep ice. No maker. Bring ice if you have decent coolers. Lawn guy stiffed me. Should be handled and up to snuff for a Fish Camp. Will be late launching the Frigg It!!! but hopefully rig and trailer out of way. Anyone needing to contact me by phone PM marshtacky or KMoose. Standing by.

Vezo

Oh, where's GFS?

Vezo, Part II 09-15-2016 11:54 PM

Sorry Denny, I think that the public ramp in HB is what KMoose referred to. Big shrimp boats travel day and night. Watch channel markers. Real easy to do. Daughter will be back in front of my house in 8 min. and you 15-20. Easy Peasy.

Michael.

A big "shout out" to Terry, Marsha and Dougie for setting up this gathering and taking care of all us SeaCraft crazies!!!! There is a medal of some kind waiting!! A really, really big THANK YOU from Deb and I for the Friday feast, the wonderful scalloping adventure, the perfect lunch served from the Bertram mother ship and providing for Saturday night's impromptu "closing ceremonies" at the GYC. Just outstanding!!!

cdavisdb 09-18-2016 05:18 PM

Ditto that. A truly outstanding weekend. Many many thanks to Terry and Marsha.

Connor and Karen

Thanks goes out to Terry, Marsha, and Doug for all they did . Also a big thank you to Mike (Vezo II) for opening his house up for several of us to stay! I had a great time and enjoyed seeing many of our CSC brothers and wives & girlfriends. Looking forward to the next event.

Evinrude Advertisement at the Soiree?

Tom-
Your photo of the SeaCrafts rafted with the Bertram during the lunch break looks like an advertisement for Evinrudes! Sorry to the Mercs, Yammies & Suzikis and whatever else was there that didn't make the pic. And it looks like Marsha is working again to be a great hostess as well as shipmate to Terry! They are great folks.

Don, We had a blast too, but it wasn't just Marsh, Dougie and I. You went up a few weeks ago to verify and confirm resturant selections and consult about other important options we might exercise. Vezo II and Lucy raced in from SC to restore Hurricane Hermane damage just to be ready for CSC guests. Conner, Ricky and Steve Greene took off work all day on Friday just to provide a bountiful harvest of Grouper and Hogfish, for all to enjoy at Zig-Zag's. I just kind of shouted out orders and made proclamations which is fitting as Commodore of the GYC. I snapped a couple of pictures from the combo "camera boat" and "cook shack" I'll post some pictures for others to see, of the CSC's underway.

Well it sure was nice to have a regulator that wasn`t sucking water after my disappointing showing for mini season...

The GYC committee boat Old`s Cool brought back some fond memories.
The Bert 25 is a timeless design that we all can appreciate for obvious reasons.
A friend has one with original twin 165 IOs. Just tanks that laugh at a small chop and will
bring you home when things get sporty

The twin 115 E TECS pushed her along nicely with her chines on top.
The ability to get a hull up with light power even works on heavy
boats.

Much like the Moose`s sled, she is set up for killing and grilling.
Gun Rack?
Check.
Shroud/ bait prep/ filet station?
Check.
Tank racks?
Check.
Hundreds of hard won numbers?
Check.

She is a pretty boat, but she is also a working girl.
This brings me to another point.

Many sites feature beautiful work, but we love seeing works in progress
and basket cases waiting for imagineers, and the sharing of knowledge.
That makes CSC special.

Marshtackie`s converted 19 is all function and makes no apologies for her
utilitarian looks and finish.

There is a 20 sf here that was converted to a straight shaft 302.
Ugliest glass work I have seen in ages, but said they fill her
with mullet.

Great seeing all new and seasoned.
Fun playing in the water with all.
We need to do this more often.

I love that marsh with not one, but two docks.
How you got that tank out through that wet sponge of a canal with dead low full moon tide was most impressive indeed.

It was ugly Terry, I was the only Merc and Danny was the only Zuke, those eTecs were everywhere!! However please note, I had the oldest and most run down outboard of them all because I'm a poor bastard!! :)

Oh yeah, at the raft up for the gourmet lunch there were nine outboards, one Merc, one Zuke and seven eTecs!! Danny and I were way, way outnumbered!! And not a single Yamaha, weird.
