Recap of Sunday
Here are some answers to some questions...does it have a Bimini? Yes it does, in FL. you need one. During the winter months I can get away with not having it on, however that being said it will be on for the CSC outing.
The boat rides like a dream, and it seems to like running about 3000 rpms which is approx. 28-29 a little engine trim and no tabs. Burns approx 8 gph at this range. According to Mercury the stroker has more torque than the stock 502 and I believe it...this puppy jumps on plane. As far as final cost I have spread sheet going and I am not up to date on it, but I can tell you this, It is more than 35k but less than 50K. Keep this in mind, everything is brand new...so if you had seats ,rails or fittings and good motor your cost would be at least 20k less. I do know that I have approx. 7k in glass epoxy and fairing compound. Paint and primer alone was over $500. A lot of this stuff was purchased with a tax id, so I was getting as close to contractor pricing that is out there. Am I happy the way it turned out...you bet. However there are a few things that are bugging me, and I keep saying REMEMBER this is a boat, and it was build to use and not to look at. So get over it. Do I have a list of what I would do different ??? You bet, but I will save that for future discussions....:p A bunch of pictures from the Sunday Launch...not in any particular order but I will comment on some of them...
