I'm in.

Looking over flight schedules as we speak. Tom, do we get another ride on your Whitewater space shuttle? I am sure the new Bertie is nice.....but for some reason hitting Mach 1 in the ICW was alot of fun.

I'm in too, just booked the flight. I also reserved a room at Bahia Cabana, Ed's rooming with me. Should I be scared?

The whitewater will be available - played around last week in Biscayne Bay and exceedd the magical 65 on the gps, no current, lite chop (not "light"), and one person. I had recently shaved the trim zincs flush with the cav plate, re-aligned the tie bar, stowed the bow light, and layed back the vhf antenna.

shooting the bridge on the bertram today, decided on Snow White (awlgrip) for a color.

A local YC guy just bought an older 31 scarab or chris-craft, don't remember which, he's doing a total restore, Bracket, close transom, and claims he's taken 500# of weight out. It has twin 225 optimax's, he's bragging he'l outrun the W-water already... what do you think?

Mark- it wasn't a tickler.....it was only a Bill Dance signature series crawdad.

Other Tom-
Right now in the shop, we have a 1999 31' Scarab with twin, bracketed 225 optis and a 1987 31' Chris Craft center console with bracketed twin 225 Mercs. The Chris Craft is built like a tank....but I think it only does in the low 50's. The Scarab has a narrower beam and looks awfully fast but it doesnt seem as well made. I think it does in the low 60's, but not sure.

I think you have nothing to worry about with the Chris-Craft....might be a close race with the Scarab. However, I think because of your unbelievable acceleration....you'll be a half mile away before he even gets out of the hole!

See you at Dania.

Other Tom,
Is that your fighting lady yellow whitewater across the icw from me in Ft. Lauderdale? I think I see you from time to time speeding up and down the icw?

I am 1500 miles away and can almost 100% say that would be Tom. AKA Capt. Speed.

I don't know, if you can SEE it, it may not be Tom. At the speed he goes, it would likely be just a yellow tinted blur
