A long way off from console work.
I helped Tuckerman get the core dry fit today. Getting there. |

Any of you transom gurus out there, how do you deal with the gap at the bottom between the new core and the existing hull?
Seems there was an 1/8" to 1/4" gap of putty originally. |
Thats always been my question about replacing from the outside. Some Ive seen have not removed the top covering allowing, at least in my mind, a larger gap. Keep up the good work. Its looking nice! I really like the baitwell/console!

Core all bonded in, now to cut the notch and make everything look pretty again.
Any advice on where to cut to make it a 25" transom? Exactly 25 to the vee. Plus or minus?? Pic not much different that the last except for a few clamps. |

Went 26.5" for the transom and narrowed the cutout a little while staying true to the SeaCraft lines. I'm happy so far.
